  1. I also use a 14" straight thru muffler with 2.5" in & out..is this what most sportivo owners use? I've heard alot of u use twin loop type rear muffler but when I installed one I found it caused too much back pressure and was sluggish.

u had a varex? just close the flap and it will be quiet. and that resonator(s) is/are overkill...

No not a varex muffler. Also Just wondering if a 14" rear oval muffler is what u guys would use? yeah they look abit much and are big, the thing I like about them is just the no fart sound at any rev ranges a very deep sound yet quiet. I do want it abit louder and more aggressive but would like to retain the deepness and the performance (straight thru 2.5" everything I have found is best 4 performance) maybe 2x 5" x14" round resonator instead of these 7" x 12" round with lip would do the trick?

  3. not sure what are packed inside these hot dogs but when i looked inside, the design was very much like the magnaflow ones. they allow sound baffling with no hinderance of flow whatsoever. i was looking just getting rid of the farting noise. i can control how loud it is with the varex. i further raised my car also and i've told the guy to tuck it up as much as he could. i got it done here in melbourne. any DECENT exhaust place should be able to tuck it up as much as possible. if they have tucked it up as much as possible the only other thing u have to do is raise ur car abit.

yeah but i think u can get ones with a steel mesh instead of fibreglass, but yeah for me i dnt have a varex just the straight thru s/s magnaflow rear oval muffler, its tucked up to the maximum and abit reluctant to raise the car as it is not stupid low and will look 4x4 styles lol. wondering if there are straigh thru oval resonators that will keep it deep, maybe 2 x small ones or 1x long one. the pictures attached is what i currently have installed.

  4. this is what im using...

    DSC01898.jpg

not sure about the dimensions but its certainly not 7'' diameter... the length its a total of 14'' this i found was the bear minimum to keep it from farting at high rpm. it only farts when the engine isn't fully warmed up (but who floors it when its not propery warmed up anyways?)

this is a generic brand, u can try the magnaflow resonators, they basically do the same thing anyways.

R these the hotdog type glasspack resi's? mine are shaped like a cylinder with a lip, it comes down alot more than urs and is the reason i scrape ( badly, with no exaggeration) I like the sound I get it's quiet but deep tough sounding I wouldn't mind it to be louder but I want to keep deepness more than anything, where did u get urs done at?

  5. I have 2 x 7" x 11" cylinder mid resonators. Quiet at idle and medium loud & very deep sounding when I give it. now I scrape so bad over driveways & ramps it's not funny, I'm talking about crunching the resi's ppl turn and look even tho my car isn't that low the resonators r. I have a straight through magnaflow rear muffler and need a middle resonator that will not sit so low due to the large diameter ( my current have been lifted too) but I'd like to keep the sound and performance the way it is. I'm told my my exhaust guy this is hard to do. Straight through everything is best for performance and enough packing in the resonators is crucial to the sound. What r u using??

  6. A couple of the boys & I on the stivo FB page have decided that where going for a cruise & photoshoot.

Meet up @ Olympic Park at 8pm on FRIDAY the 12th of August where a photoshoot will take place and later a cruise!

Please note down if u will be attending.

All cars welcome, see u all there!

  7. CES will sound different on your car as it will to someone elses car, they are not 100% exactly the same.

the CES exhaust by itself on the car sounds GREAT without being droony and or bleeding your ears on long highway drives. Add headers and or CAI to the car again .. and the sound changes again !!!

    Youtube Vid -

Hey thanks for that man, I have the CAI & the headers, I'm looking now to get a rear muffleR and middle resonator to cause an aggressive but deep chunky sound all the way through. Does this fit the characteristics of the CES exhaust system??

  8. man does any1 on tocau know how a CES exhaust stands up against a Custom 1? also any1 know if this spiral design shown below is better than straight through? basically its causes back pressure, is this good or bad? coz its what the exhaust person put on.

Come down to Canterbury on the weekend and ill drag you so you can find out.

    Where in Canterbury lol

    wardell road, sunday night.

I actually want to hear it so I can get an idea on the sound I like and act accordingly but need to take it to the shop 2morrow so its ready 4 the weekend lol any chance u can show us 2night, I basically live on wardell Rd.

It sounds like a male buffalo ejaculating into another male buffalo.

Haha where's the thumbs up so I can Facebook like this s#it lol
