  1. Hi all!

Looking at an 07 Aurion on which one of the plates seems to be missing... I see a sticker on the front passenger side B pillar/sill but there is none on the rear sill? Shouldn't there be another plate with a correspondance/approval no of some sort? Should there be two plates on an Aurion or just the one? Why make them out of stickers couldn't someone just pull it off?

    Thanks

  2. More info

    Rubbing or clicking

On cornering, straights.. If cornering left or right.. Etc

U got bigger wheels on ur car or stock? Lowered or std? ...

Sort of rubbing noise... not only on cornering ...comes on straights as well.... I replaced the driver's side driveshaft suspecting that it was the inner CV .... could be the other side perhaps?

No heavy modifications.... just a set of alloy wheels R15.... standard suspension

  3. Hey there,

I have this rubbing sort of sound coming from the driver's side on my Corolla 96 (AE102) that comes anywhere from 10kmph to 50kmph . Pretty sure it was the inner CV boot that was playing up. Anyhow I replaced the whole driveshaft on the driver's side but the noise still persists? Should I replace the other side too or could I have missed something while I replaced the driver's side? Tightening?

    Thanks

  4. Hello there,

Just trying to remove my hub nut as I'm planning to replace my driveshaft on this 96 Corolla (AE102). I'm not sure which socket to buy for the hub nut? Are hub nuts relatively the same on most Corollas or? I measured it and it was around 30mm from what I could remember

    Thanks for your help

  5. Hey there,

Will an Auto Diesel Hilux ECU work in an Auto Diesel Prado (150 Series)?

Both run on the D4-D 1KD-FTV 3.0l Turbo Diesel Engine

    Same compression ratios

    Hilux uses 4 speed automatic

Whereas Prado uses 5 speed automatic

The wiring harness would be different too I imagine?

  6. Mate I have never seen one in ausralia, I dont know about you, the only option is to go to a japanese car importer, I have seen some in major capital cities, but I .dont know if they would be able to import a lj prado in for you.

I not sure of your budget, but the closest thing we have over here in australia would be a 76 series wagon, I dont know if you could import one in your self from overseas or not I dont know.

Sorry mate I couldnt help you more.

Thanks Croco, I've seen about 3 of them in Brisbane so far...

I do like the 76 Series... very nice looking 4X4... the rear is very similar to the Prado I'm looking for. The front looks good as well and the V8 D4-D 4500. The price is what makes your teeth bite. They're too expensive :(

    Thanks again

  7. They're rare because they weren't sold here...closest we got was the 75 'cruiser and the SWB Bundera (that Prado is the LWB version of the Bundera)

Thanks for your reply. It's an import which is obviously why it's rare. 75 Landcruiser's look no where as near good (for me) but I guess I could just change the front end to make it look like this. They're quite expensive too compared to these imports...

  8. Hello TOC Team,

I've been looking for these Prado's for a while now and I just can't seem to find them.

I presume they're rare. It's the Landcruiser Prado LJ Series.... I think that's what they're called  ?

I love the look of this series.

I'm looking for the Turbo Diesel

    Manual Transmission

2.4L Diesel or 3.0L Diesel (preferred)

If any knows the whereabouts of one for sale could you please send me a message.

I'm in Brisbane but wouldn't mind bringing one from overstate.

    Thanks,

  9. I have a feeling because your car is a gen 4 with the fluted glass lenses instead of the clears from factory. They spread differently especially after you swap them for the clear lenses.

Yes, that is another factor which I also thought of as well. Did you use the aftermarket clear perspex? Did you experience those black lines by any chance... they're annoying....

    Thanks

  10. Ok from what I gathered you have moved the whole reflector and black housing from the new lights to the stock ones. That means that you have still replicated the problem with the lights spreading to the wrong side of the road. If I remember correctly I didn't need to cut that wire to take out the black housing as I had to remove it when I was modifying it for the projectors. Pretty sure you can unplug it and it'll come out.

I ended up doing it your way... but I'm getting those black lines in the middle of the road as can be seen on page 2.

    Thanks

  11. I don't think putting the black part from the aftermarket headlights into the OEM back will work. The Aftermarket headlight has completely different reflectors for the low beam area, and it just wont work with the OEM one. You can tell that the light is being limited by the black part, you're getting two light spots instead of a distribution of light. The actual reason is because the semi-spherical reflecting backing for the OEM low beam doesn't marry up with the opening introduced by the black part. But I could be wrong - in my opinion just use the aftermarket headlight, I did and have been for years and no problems at all.

    Thank you for your reply.

Should I try adjusting the headlight screw? Will that not do much?

Where can I find the conversion harness from USA to AUS?

  12. Please disregard the pictures of the reflectors.... I threw that idea away and went with what STYLSH originally said back on page 1.

    Okay so here it is:

The light casing is still STOCK... just the front cover (clear perspex) and been replaced and the black housing has been added in.

    PROBLEM:

    DSC_0027-2.jpg

    DSC_0028-2.jpg

This is the problem I'm currently facing... two black lines are appearing when I'm driving on the road... The lighting is fine just these black lines are very distracting and I don't wont to drive without sorting it out. I suspect they are coming from the light refraction onto the hole on the black housing?

Could I adjust the headlights to get rid of this or... ?

    Thanks
