I picked up a Celica SX '96, manual. It runs beautiful, however when I select 3rd gear and take my hand off the gearstick BEFORE releasing clutch/accelerating, the gear will slip back into neutral. But when I press gearstick in 3rd gear for a moment UNTIL I fully released clutch/accelerated, then I can take my hand off the gearstick and it stays in gear nicely. This only happens in 3rd gear. What could be the issue? It does not really bother me while I am driving. I am just wondering if this is a sign of some major problems($$$) coming up later. I was planning to get it roadworthy and register it, but if it would need a new gearbox in the near future, it may not be worth it...
