Hey guys
Just out of curiosity, what brand oil filters do you use? I've been using the genuine one, and thought I might go for something else. Any suggestions would be great!
Cheers

Saw new 2012 zr6 aurion at westpoint blacktown, with the plates "ursino"

I too have this rattle during engine startup it happens more frequent after the car has already warmed up. I turn it off and leave for about an hour and start it up again and it rattles.

Mate that's sex on wheels!! Nice ride!

I'd straight swap the trd for the new zr6!!
Too bad the TRD is not even worth the same value as the AT-X.
yeah unfortunately, hows yours going?
I'd straight swap the trd for the new zr6!!
Are you serious? The TRD should be taken from you and replace with an old Ford Festiva for that comment.
haha so what if i want the new zr6 i like the looks and features. Don't get me wrong the TRD is one hell of a car but its not really performance and if i want a performance car i'd go something else.

Djkor cheers mate!
Installed the rsb today, placed some grease and teflon tape. Have to say 3mm up from stock gives it a nice feel when turning.
Next upgrade might be Sri for noise or mufflers and take out the resonator.
-
Bump anyone?
-
Already placed front struts, now waiting for the rear sway bar. Looking at putting it on this weekend, does anyone know the torque for the rsb?
Kind regards

It's only a suggestion - Minchinbury Bunnings? It's right next to a hungry jacks and kfc...
Not bad

It's true you don’t have to use these products, you car will still run but not as good as it could.
Nah...thats what these MARKETEERS want you to believe.
I tend to fall for the marketing crap hence why I like to use Fuel Doctor. But this isn't for the injector cleaning properties, it's for the supposed fuel tank cleaning properties. That said, I have been meaning to get some once I got the TRD, but still haven't got around to it.
In terms of performance, 40,000km into it's life without an injector clean and it still runs like new. Can average as low as 7.5l/100km and it runs nice times at the drags. I can't really imagine it running any better than that.
Hey djkor
Have you used any injector cleaners or fuel doctor on your trd? If you have, notice any difference?
Cheers

Hey all,
After reading this and a few other threads I looked up Greg and the boys at GSL Rally sport and went for the DBA4000 with Remsa front and rear pads.
I could only get the front rotors at this point in time but will be getting the rears in Jan when they become available in Aus again.
I fitted them last week and they are very nice indeed. Not only do they look good but they perform very well.
I still need to bed them in properly but a nice road trip when I install typhoon today is on the cards I think.
As you can see by the pics I also have new P zeros on as well. They handle 10000000% better than the dunlop super sports.
Hey mate
I also got a pair of dba 4000 slotted front rotors. i've attached a pic of the ones i got, just wondering are they like the ones you bought? i remember the dba 4000 slotted looked different on the dba site
the slotted pattern looks slightly different to the ones i bought.
i cant view the pics you posted on my phone.
Cheers

I got an ELM unit from ebay for $30 (bluetooth version). It didn't come with any software but you can find that online eg. Torque for my Android phone works great with it :)
Hey juice
I had a look at the elm Bluetooth units on eBay and non of them say aurion or camry 06. Which one did you get?

Okay I'm back from work so I can write this up properly.
Essentially the problem lies with the side retainer clip that the bumper clips onto. The clip is probably best described as a U channel lying on its side. Over time the weight of the bumper plus the elements (ie hot summer days etc) causes the plastic to soften and the U channel to expand slightly, which results in the bumper dropping slightly as well.
This can be fixed in one of 2 ways. The obvious is 2 replace the side retainer clips from new ones from Toyota (no idea on cost). The other method involves using a heat gun to soften the plastic and close the U channel back up (even going further if you want). I did this on mine and the gap has come up perfect.
The image below shows the points that need adjusting. Ignore the lower red circled area, it's the upper 2 red circled areas that often need fixing.
You don't need to remove the front bumper to remove these retainers, simply popping out the sides will give enough clearance to remove the clips from the vehicle. Once you remove the retaining screws they come off fairly easily. If you need more help on popping off the bumper check the FAQ for detailed instructions.
Hey Steven
I'll try bending back the plastic with a heat gun, ill let you know how it goes.
Cheers for the info

Not answering the question here but making an observation... it's quite interesting to see this because I've seen this start to happen on a few Aurions already, mine included.
Yesterday I was sitting near my car and also notice the uneven gap appearing with the front bumper.
yeah this sucks :(
i noticed mine about a month ago but the gap wasnt as noticeable, just today i was thinking of getting eyelids when straight away i noticed the gap getting worse.

Hey guys
below is a pic of a gap on my bumper that's gradually getting worse. im a complete noob to cars and probably wont try to attempt a DIY, can anyone recommend me a place in sydney that will fix and secure the bumper flush without costing an arm or have some idea what it would cost so i wont get ripped ones.
cheers
