  1. Just having some issues with my new Nokia N8 and the Bluetooth headunit.

I can get the headunit to pair with the phone no worries but when making a call its not routed through the headunit at all, can only hear the call through the phone itself... Just wondering if any other N8 users are having this problem or have overcome it somehow?

    Cheers Jason

  2. I have also lost some trust in toyotas service department. Although its not related to my corolla its a starlet which i had bought only 5 months ago as a second car. I had a routine service done on the car an now they tell me the rear main seal is gone and my waterpump is leaking....

The car has a warranty but it doesnt mean anything none of this is covered an they want to charge me $850 for doing the repair!!!!

So i dont think i will ever go back to midland toyota for servicing, and ill never buy a used car off them

  3. Sorry guys I didnt think I was posting a repeated topic as I was only really checking with the facelift 2005 owners.

I couldnt really find any info on the 05 stivos gear shift posted as yet. My apologies if I missed something.

    Cheers

Don't apololgize Jason, this is supposed to be a friendly forum and the search function is not perfect.

welcome to TOCA and hope that the stay is a good one.

perhaps you will decide to pick up after the chrome trend that i left off?

I posted that reply almost a year ago!!!! Hahahaha

But thanks for the welcome even if it was late!!!

  4. I own a 2005 sportivo an lately ive been noticing a rattling like noise, like a chain rattling its hard to describe. It only occurs high in the rev range from bout 7000 till redline.

My car only has around 6000 kms on it but the noise is coming from the engine. If theres anyone else experiencing a similar problem out there id love to know but looks like i may have to visit toyota again...

  5. I do have the toyota alarm upgrade in my stivo, there are better alarms out there but I had the alarm thrown in at the time of purchase for no charge so I wasnt complaining. :D

It is fitted into the original remote which is one benefit, as having an extra one for the alarm would ***** me off...

Dont know about shock sensor or cabin protection though it looks pretty basic to me.

I did also have to have a technician come out an have a look at it because apparently they are a bit complex to install in the stivo...

  6. Just curious as to whether any 2005 owners have had an trouble shifting in the

    higher rev range?

I havent had any issues myself although the shifter does get a little tighter after 6k rpm. Im probably just a little worried as the previous model had some issues...

Anyway im loving the car atm an GO TEAM SILVER!!!
