  1. Just having some issues with my new Nokia N8 and the Bluetooth headunit. I can get the headunit to pair with the phone no worries but when making a call its not routed through the headunit at all, can only hear the call through the phone itself... Just wondering if any other N8 users are having this problem or have overcome it somehow? Cheers Jason
  2. Cool no worries sounds pretty easy... I do have access to a hoist here at work so I might just fit it myself
  3. Thanks mate you are a champion So is it a simple bolt on job if you were to fit it yourself?
  4. Cheers guys for your help. The pics would be greatly appreciated :D
  5. Hey guys just checking if anyone has some undercar pics of the TRD Muffler for ZRE Corolla? Just wanting to see the fit and finish as pics of it are hard to find on the net... Thanks Jason
  6. Hey guys sorry to bump an old thread With the castrol edge oil the castrol website recommends 0w-40 for the stivo, but most ppl are using 5w-30. Whats the best to put in there? on my last service i noticed that 15w-40 was used :(
  7. Hey is there any white medium ones left i wouldnt mind one.... pm sent as im in WA!!! Jason
  8. Just going back to an earlier post, someone said that the Remus muffler is just as restrictive as stock... just wanted to know if this was true and why they cost so much if they offer no gains?
  9. The corolla aint my daily driver so thats why she has so low kms, only gets used mainly on weekends, good for resale i supose!!!!
  10. Not so fast! 05 stivo - bought 25/05/05 with 6050kms :D Better leave mine in the garage some more then!!!! :P
  11. Maybe I have the record for the lowest kilometers travelled, mine is a 2005 (march 05) sportivo which has done a grand total of 6,900 kms!!! :P
  12. No i have no problem with them finding these faults for me im just ****** off that they sold the car with these issues but tried to cover them up....
  13. I have also lost some trust in toyotas service department. Although its not related to my corolla its a starlet which i had bought only 5 months ago as a second car. I had a routine service done on the car an now they tell me the rear main seal is gone and my waterpump is leaking.... The car has a warranty but it doesnt mean anything none of this is covered an they want to charge me $850 for doing the repair!!!! So i dont think i will ever go back to midland toyota for servicing, and ill never buy a used car off them
  14. Don't apololgize Jason, this is supposed to be a friendly forum and the search function is not perfect. welcome to TOCA and hope that the stay is a good one. perhaps you will decide to pick up after the chrome trend that i left off? I posted that reply almost a year ago!!!! Hahahaha But thanks for the welcome even if it was late!!!
  15. The noise i have isnt coming from the dash its definately the engine... maybe it is a pinging noise just hard to tell at higher revs. I might try to reset the ECU see if that solves anything. Thanks for all the quick replies guys :D
  16. I purchased the car in march 05 so it was one of the first batch of the facelifted model. If its shifter cables thats not as big a deal as i thought, i was worried that maybe it was coming from the top end... Maybe im better just getting it checked out. Better to be safe than sorry.
  17. No the air-con is switched off, i dont think its a fuel issue or a bad batch either as im running BP ultimate. I wouldnt describe it as a pinging noise it is more of a rattle....
  18. I own a 2005 sportivo an lately ive been noticing a rattling like noise, like a chain rattling its hard to describe. It only occurs high in the rev range from bout 7000 till redline. My car only has around 6000 kms on it but the noise is coming from the engine. If theres anyone else experiencing a similar problem out there id love to know but looks like i may have to visit toyota again...
  19. Would it be the same deal if i have the same problem with my fog lights? Only noticed it once when it was raining that they were both fogged up.
  20. I do have the toyota alarm upgrade in my stivo, there are better alarms out there but I had the alarm thrown in at the time of purchase for no charge so I wasnt complaining. :D It is fitted into the original remote which is one benefit, as having an extra one for the alarm would ***** me off... Dont know about shock sensor or cabin protection though it looks pretty basic to me. I did also have to have a technician come out an have a look at it because apparently they are a bit complex to install in the stivo... Jason
  21. Sorry guys I didnt think I was posting a repeated topic as I was only really checking with the facelift 2005 owners. I couldnt really find any info on the 05 stivos gear shift posted as yet. My apologies if I missed something. Cheers Jason
  22. In my car ive only noticed that 1st to 2nd is a bit tighter, still quite smooth though. Im probably not quite used to the shift action as yet as im also upgrading from a Rav4 which was very different lol.
  23. Just curious as to whether any 2005 owners have had an trouble shifting in the higher rev range? I havent had any issues myself although the shifter does get a little tighter after 6k rpm. Im probably just a little worried as the previous model had some issues... Anyway im loving the car atm an GO TEAM SILVER!!! Jason
  24. Cool thanks sport1vo Ive been enquiring with a few dealers an none of them have any idea, although i heard they may come with an mp3 deck, same as the one in the mr2, as toyota is putting them in most of there sportier models. anyway thanks for the info Jason
  25. I work for a car hire company, fleet management which also entitles me to test drive or thrash our vehicles.... lol
