  1. good day at the toyota owners club. i have placed this post here with the toyota owners club,in regard to a very strange thing?problem that happened to our 2005 toyota camry altise limited V6 motor car. a few days ago, when our car had been parked in our garage for only (2) days weekend, we went to start the car, and found some very strange noise, like dry engine lifter noise :( in the top end of the motor,we called out the racv, and when the racv mechanic turned up the motor started first time with no engine lifter noise, and has when running 100% ever since. the car was taken back to the main toyota dealer, and we decided to do a 7500km oil+filter service, even only has this car has travelled a distance of only 4200km ? according to toyota australia the deal with these new motors is to service the car at 15000 km, 12 mths which comes first. on my thinking the 2005 car was made in july 2005, then sent to the dealer, where in feb2006 we bought the car driving only 4200km, this means that the "toyota break in peroid type of oil has in in the oil pan for 14 months time", i feel that this "special break in peroid oil type", has caused my "enginge lifter noise problem". my question here is, has any one had problems with this "break in peroid type oil", had do you not think that on a brand new motor to run up to 15000km, or 12 mths time is not the way forward..(1) i say this Special break in peroid type of oil is bad news, and toyota should change the oil and filter at 5000km as first service time ?? any comments welcome:
