  1. Hey guys! finally the problem on my car is gone!!! just need to change my petrol and that's it! no more hesitations on morning start. I am now using 95 octain petrol from BP and not planning to go back on 98's... not pretty sure about the 98's at shell but in my opinion, shell is one of the reputable service station I have known... I used to pump up petrol at shell doonside NSW (sorry to mention where's the location and am not trying to offend shell at all) I think in this particular service station, their petrol is contaminated! proly because of the discount that they're giving people when they shop at coles? or just simply the fuel they are selling is not that good at all... well, this is just my theory. definitely i am not going back there anymore! And if you have read my earlier post, I'd mention about one of the guys at toyota blacktown told me to change petrol. instead of 98,s use 95 and you'll have a sweet morning start and no problem on hesitations after cranking it. well, i did follow his advice and save me some money!!! i almost bought the whole assembly fuel pump and it is not cheap at all!! anyway, just a heads up guys... if you have the same problem on your car like mine, change first the fuel and see how it goes from there before you ended up spending money instead of enjoying it with something else. thanks for all who reply and read this topic.
  2. @simplyvandinh wrong typo mate! it was meant to be 150000K's to replace those fuel assembly according to the toyota guy. anyway, haven't check the repair or service manuals 07 camry 4 cyl. to really find out... just basing it to the mechanics i had spoken too. good thing you have a mechanic that you can rely to and not rip you off... just wanna ask on how your mechanic replace the fuel filter and pump? if you don't mind... $600 is very cheap for a big job! i believe you have to remove the back seat to gain access on the tank to reach the fuel assembly on 07 camry's 4 cyl.
  3. 1 . Car service + replacement of fuel pump and filter all up $600 (with labour) 2. I've been using E10 and its fine 3. B***S*** youre meant to change it at 150k's . Mines only 35000kms and my personal mechanic whom is a family friend fixed it within 1.5hour . so my car got towed to the mechanics , next morning at uni i get a call saying its all done . not even 24hours later and its complete and has been driving fine ever since .
  4. Thanks for the reply guys! Really appreciate it... @aem - It's not the battery mate, just replaced it a couple of weeks ago with brand new battery. regarding this topic, is it true that the Fuel pressure regulator, fuel filter are all in the fuel pump assembly? I've just got a massive qoute from one of the respective mechanic shop here in my area that the fuel pump assembly will cost me $680 + GST and fuel filter (BYW they call fuel filter different now... Iforgot what it was called? #%^* something strainer or screen) will cost around 140 + GST and plus labor for more than 2 hours. And if they will replace the fuel pressure regulator will then cost me more! Anyway, just rang up Toyota Blacktown and ask them about my problem. according to the guy I spoke too, they've been having people calling them about the same problem and ask me what fuel are you using? I said 98 octain form shell... He replied thats is the main source of your car problem! use only 95 octane or the regular petrol and not the E10's. The 07 camry's 4 cyl. is having problem burning this fuel and the combustion of the engine is not that good because of this high octain petrol according to him. change your petrol to a normal unleaded and you'll have a sweet morning start up! And he also add that this fuel pump, fuel filter and fuel pressure regulator are not meant to be change untill you reach 150k's and that's the time you replace it... The guy also saids that I am not gonna take your money straight away because of this issues, try to change petrol first and if the problem persists... It's time to take it to toyota. BTW the car we are reffering to is a 2007 Toyota Camry Altise 4 cylinder.
  5. just wanna add some more about my car... The car runs great when it is started and no error codes when you plugged in those scanners. It's only the morning start. It will crank, then let go of the key, it will shake, hesitates it feels like it was coughing then sometimes it will die straight away. but mostly it will fire up after the hesitation. After that car is fine the whole day
  6. Hey Guys, I'm new here and been reading some of your topics regarding the camry's. Anyway, got a problem with my 07 camry on morning start. car seats for 8 or more hours, then try to start it, it will crank but hesitates to fire up for several seconds then engine will start but sometimes doesn't continue and engine will die. Took it to a FEW mechanics already! 1st mechanic replace the mass air flow sensor. according to them when they scan the car, the MAF is the problem. after few days the problem is back. took it back to them and they can't find anything on the scanner, so I decided to go to other mechanic. automasters saids it was my battery and not holding charge anymore... so they replace the battery straight away! guess what? following morning my car is still the same! problem not solve! Ring them back and told them that my car still having the same problem. took to the 3rd mechanic he reckons that it only need the throttle body to be cleaned. he had it clean and leave the car over night so he can check in the morning. Morning comes, pick my car, started it and it was still the same... Told these mechanic it might something to do with my fuel pressure regulator, fuel filter, injectors.... But these mechanics doesn't beleive me coz they say your car is nearly new and those parts they hardly break or what so ever! My car hasn't got the warranty anymore because I bought it at the fleets and only gave me 3 months of warranty. I have the car for a year now. I need some help... I can't find a good mechanic in my area. I' afraid it wont start anymore one day. thanks in advance...
