  1. I've heard of them and fitted a 2nd hand set from Japan to a members car up here in brisbane a while ago. cheap and nasty coilovers IMO. He sold the car not long after he fitted them(like 3 months) and the new owner fitted them into his car(well i did) and they lasted about another 2 odd months and started leaking big time. they were only supposed to be about a month old out of a car from Japan but who really knows.

Steer clear of cheap coilovers and especially 2nd hand ones LOL.

thanks for the replies! especially for the reference to JIN's posts. if anyone needs it down the track, its here

  2. Ive recently come across a brand called B.C. Racing. It's hard to search on the forums for because its under 3 letters... but if anyone has links to threads on these then pls feel free to post them up.

Has anyone had any experience with them?

I believe they're made in Taiwan, and they're about the same price as D2's and G4's.

I wonder if they have any issues?

  3. Tried doing a search, but no luck with specific instructions.

If anyone has installed foglights on a 02-04ish model corolla, maybe u can help me out.

Do u remember having a "one pin connector" from the car connecting to the "green wire" on the foglight harness per the instructions? If so, where are they?

i believe that the purpose of this "green wire" (which on my harness isnt actually green haha) is so that the light switch only works when either the ignition is on or the normal headlights are on.

  4. Basically, this is a pledge to all those game enough to send me a short 3sec video of u (or any mates) saying "Hi Leonard" in an american/canadian accent.

I have 26 so far, but need a fair few more.

Leonard is a colleague of mine who tends to speak with a canadian accent. Somehow the catchphrase "Hi Leonard" started around the office and all of a sudden i had a handful of ppl on camera saying it. Naturally, (as u do) i decided to make a short movie to the tune of Sexy Back which is compilation of all my videos of him, for him. I have now taken it to the general public to get as many random ppl possible doing it as well.

So please! Don't be shy. As long as the vid is clear and loud itll go in, and only be used for this purpose.

The final product will most likely be youtubed.

I wanted to attach an example vid, but cant seem to find the attachment button... a little help mods???

PM me if ur keen! THANKS!

  5. hey man, cant really help out much but when i needed parts for my 88 corolla i found some toyota wreckers through the yellow pages.

there were a few places around midland, malaga, bayswater areas. they specifically had only toyota parts though. i'm sure thered be places for hondas somewhere...

maybe try the yellow pages under honda, or ask his mechanic, or possibly the honda servicing centres.

  6. initially it was between advanti medusa and envy, but then i found tempetyres has some nice ones (like the ones uve posted).

i'd prefer to see some of the tempetyres wheels in person too but thats a bit tricky.

  7. Hi guys,

Just wanted to confirm the legal limits of upgrading wheels for a 2002 corolla ascent (zze122). I did a search and found that the earlier models like mine came with 14x5.5 wheels and the 2003 and laters came with 15x6.5 (i think).

In WA, going by http://www.dpi.wa.gov.au/licensing/1884.asp we can only go wider by 1". I don't know if the 2" maximum diameter increase applies in WA?

I've checked my placard in the glove box, but for some reason it specifies the wheel dimensions for both 14 and 15" wheels and doesn't specify what the car came with.

So my question is, can i legally get away with 17x7 wheels? and why not?

What would insurance co's go by?
