Klugeraus

I must admit that at first, I didn't like the new shape, but now i am starting to like it.

One disappointing thing for me is the lack of features, that the US have, but we don't get here. I watched a review on YouTube and the top of the line version, the "Limited" with the "Platinum pack", had captains chairs in the 2nd row and a Panoramic sunroof. A real shame we are excluded from these options.

Thanks again guys for the advice. The second hand Kluger KX-S AWD has been dropping in price on carsales - down to $39,500 with <9,000 km, the guy offered he'd take $38,000 cash, which seemed too good to be true. It was of course, I checked the VIN by just googling it, and it showed up on Manheim Auctions as a past repairable write off, with airbags deployed, left front damage, left side damage, right front damage. And the guy stood there and told me with a straight face it had a minor sideswipe repaired under insurance that he had paperwork for. I guess I can't picture lying to someone's face like that, so human nature still surprises me from time to time.

At least in the process I have really fallen in love with the KX-S Kluger features ... now trying to justify the full sticker price, or thereabouts :) Haven't been able to get a Toyota salesperson to give me any attention on Saturdays, but I did drive another Territory, which I still really like.

Perhaps the rattles were those empty airbag housings! I am sure when you test drive a good kluger you will love it.

I suggest you test drive another Kluger to compare and establish if the issues were related to the range or the particular car you drove.

As it had been sideswiped, personally, I would walk away, you never know the real extent of the damage.

Was it raining or had you used the rear window wash just before? Just thinking that maybe you have a leaking rear window which may make a connection to the button on the base of the door?

How did you go with the dealer? Hope you get a great outcome.
