Thankd Brendan, like i said i'm sure the service manager would have told me if there was a problem, I know i have done a lot of k's but surely they would last till at least 30-40,000 kms. I'll jack it up and have a good look. hopefully that's the problem.

Hi All, I'm a newy to the forum and have a bit of a problem with my rav with my brakes grinding, have had the car serviced at a toyota dealer 3 weeks ago, and im sure that if the pads were worn the service manager would have adviced. well i hope. here are the details of the car. 2011 rav4 CV (7 months old) 22,000kms all city and highway driving last service was at 20,000kms The grinding sounds like metal to metal, has anyone expirienced this before? does anyone know how long the break pads should last? any help would be appreciated.
