thanks for the replies. We will continue to use the headphone jack. I checked all the settings connecting through the USB and I could not find an option for being able to use our iphone/ipod via the device rather than on the screen.

Hi All, We have a 2010 Prado Kakadu which we love. When we want to play either our ipod or iphone through the AUX cable the only we can choose our songs is through the DVD/Nav Screen. Is there a way to set it up so I can still choose the songs through the device rather than the clunky interface in the DVD/Nav screen? This problem is compounded further as you can now have your music in iCloud. Which means it is only downloaded when you want to play it. The DVD/Nav unit only reads music already on the device and will not pick up music that can be downloaded (ie in the iCloud). Thanks in advance for any advice.
