I haven't done it, but I have been to Fraser Island in a 100 series land cruiser. I would imagine it should be fine, provided you are talking about an AWD Kluger. You don't need low range on the sand and you wont need to worry about ground clearance driving around on sand tracks. I have seen videos of a kluger or two driving on the beach. Have you actually looked into the cost of hiring a vehicle though? It's not easy (impossible?) to get rid of all the sand under a car which has been beach driven. I wouldn't take my kluger on the beach FWIW. Edit: I don't know about turning traction control off, but I guess it might make sense - in the sand momentum is king.
