I have just purchased a 2005 Avan Cruiser campervan which everyone tells me I can quite easily tow with my 2008 Altise Automatic( 46000kms) The van tare is 840kg and I can't see me loading anywhere near the 1200kgs on the towbar info. Downward load of Avan is about 70kgs when it is empty. My concern is do I need to fit an oil cooler to the gearbox and do I need to upgrade the rear suspension. The van will only be used in Queensland and on 99% bitumen roads. No help at all from TOYOTA.
