thanks guys . whats the size of the sway bars from factory ?

besides sway bar , strut brace and coils as an upgrade option (plus wider and grippier wheels) , what other types of suspension work can be done on the gen4 camry to make it more less body roll and more grippy, improving handling?

i decided to put the stock factory wheels on, and problem gone , car handles comfortably , so i guess it was the 2ndhand wheels that i bought had problems. so yeah, problem fixed.

10k?? WOW !! that seems like alot of engine work aside from turbo like changing engine parts right? am i wrong ?

BY THE WAY IS THERE LIKE A TUNE MADE FOR THIS THE 5SFE ?

still shakes ! should i still bring it in for another wheel balance and allighnment ? or just go to beau and tell my problems and act from there?

when i put on the wheels , i had an all alignment done , but then the beau repairs told me my front tyres were bald , so i changed to news tyres , balanced and fitted . does that count ?

my allighnement is a little off , i need to get that done up when i have time. but i dont think its allighnment problem. as my fd2 civic allighnment is off as well , but no shaking poblem on that car. when i went to change tyres like 2 months ago , pretty sure beau repairs would of had it balanced it properly for me. unless they did a dodgey balancing job ??? my front wheels dont have rim centre caps , well , 3/4 didnt have caps.

ever since i have fitted my secondhand wheels( 17" 225 front , 235 rear) on my gen4 , i have noticed that when i drive on the freeway , when the speedometre reaches around 100km/h my sterring wheel shakes like no tomorrow , so i bought it into my nearest tyre shop , had 4 brand new tyres fitted and balanced , but the problem still exist !!! i need help trouble shooting , its so annoying and uncomfy driving the car when the steering wheel shakes. anyone know the problem to it ?

the gen4 mirrors arent as great, they dont give good vision at all , so i want to change them and i have been looking around for bigger external mirrors but with no luck at all , anyone know if they make any bigger external mirrors for the gen4 ? and where to buy ?

i was randomly looking around on ebay , and i found these cheaper, DD (Drag n Drift) coil overs for the gen4 , but i cant find any info on them via google. when i fitted that bar in the first time like in the pics , i drove it around and engine was scraping the bar when it was on drive or reverse. so then i swapped the plates around , then when the car was on drive , the engine scraped the bottom bit and when on reverse the engine would scrape the from bit of the bar on the pics. can you guys elaborate on the odd part , i dont quite understand that part.

i was reading a topic on camry strut bars , i bought one off eBay because it was cheaper , it has no brand name . but i have to say , its a **** trade , not worth the buck . when the engine rotates , it scrapes part of the bar , therefore forcing me to put a rag over the scraped part and i just realized that the engine has pushed my bar forward , so its like on a declining 45 degree angle ( no idea how to explain that, see pics), i don't know how to comment on the stiffness part, sorry guys. so yeah , i just thought that i let you all know. :D

i've seen and read some earlier posts about this sagging roof lining problem ( that i now have). To be honest , i was so confused when reading those replies, i am a car noob , but i want to do it my self , anyone have guides or pics on how to fix the sagging roof lining for the gen4 here ? ( pics prefered , if possible). Thanks.

A modification plate is a small plate, like a Vin plate that is issued by an authorized engineer/mechanic to say that the modification carried out is sound and meets design rules etc. thanks . really appreciate your help.

Gen6 and 7 won't fit without modification to the mounts which will need engineering, may be an issue if you don't and get into an accident. Gen5 are a direct bolt on but you won't be able to make use of the airbag or the power seat. None of them are bucket seats; even the TRD Aurion seats aren't quite buckety enough. If you want bucket seats get some Bride/Sparco/Similar. O ok , I see. Thats depressing knowing that toyota buckets arnt that buckety . thanks again Andrew. Which would most likely require a mod plate also, since I don't think anyone makes after market seat rails for the Camry. Mbruce whats a mod plate ? thanks for the help.
