  1. There was only 1 supercharger kit made for th 5S-FE(8 kits total produced) and they were only sold in the US. I imported 1 to Australia which was on my car for a very short time, then was sold to a Celica owner.

Your best bet if you want power is to turbo.

trent , would you know what type of turbo ?

  2. Alignment .?

my allighnement is a little off , i need to get that done up when i have time. but i dont think its allighnment problem. as my fd2 civic allighnment is off as well , but no shaking poblem on that car.

    or wheels not balance properly

when i went to change tyres like 2 months ago , pretty sure beau repairs would of had it balanced it properly for me. unless they did a dodgey balancing job ???

Might need rim/hub centre caps (these sit on the back of the rim and on the wheel hub) or On car balance done may be required..

my front wheels dont have rim centre caps , well , 3/4 didnt have caps.

  3. ever since i have fitted my secondhand wheels( 17" 225 front , 235 rear) on my gen4 , i have noticed that when i drive on the freeway , when the speedometre reaches around 100km/h my sterring wheel shakes like no tomorrow , so i bought it into my nearest tyre shop , had 4 brand new tyres fitted and balanced , but the problem still exist !!! i need help trouble shooting , its so annoying and uncomfy driving the car when the steering wheel shakes. anyone know the problem to it ?

  4. the gen4 mirrors arent as great, they dont give good vision at all , so i want to change them and i have been looking around for bigger external mirrors but with no luck at all , anyone know if they make any bigger external mirrors for the gen4 ? and where to buy ?

  5. when i fitted that bar in the first time like in the pics , i drove it around and engine was scraping the bar when it was on drive or reverse. so then i swapped the plates around , then when the car was on drive , the engine scraped the bottom bit and when on reverse the engine would scrape the from bit of the bar on the pics. can you guys elaborate on the odd part , i dont quite understand that part.

  6. i was reading a topic on camry strut bars , i bought one off eBay because it was cheaper , it has no brand name . but i have to say , its a **** trade , not worth the buck . when the engine rotates , it scrapes part of the bar , therefore forcing me to put a rag over the scraped part and i just realized that the engine has pushed my bar forward , so its like on a declining 45 degree angle ( no idea how to explain that, see pics), i don't know how to comment on the stiffness part, sorry guys. so yeah , i just thought that i let you all know. :D

  7. i've seen and read some earlier posts about this sagging roof lining problem ( that i now have). To be honest , i was so confused when reading those replies, i am a car noob , but i want to do it my self , anyone have guides or pics on how to fix the sagging roof lining for the gen4 here ? ( pics prefered , if possible).

    Thanks.

  8. Mbruce whats a mod plate ?

A modification plate is a small plate, like a Vin plate that is issued by an authorized engineer/mechanic to say that the modification carried out is sound and meets design rules etc.

thanks . really appreciate your help.

  9. The one form the new Camry (gen 7) would not fit the gen 4, and even if they did you would have issues, since they have electric adjustment and air bags in them.(Plus you would have to buy new) Your best bet would be ones out of a gen 5, as I do believe these fit, (Not sue if any modification is needed) but a member on here STYLSH has a gen 4, and I do believe he has gen5 Sportivo seats in his.

Gen6 and 7 won't fit without modification to the mounts which will need engineering, may be an issue if you don't and get into an accident. Gen5 are a direct bolt on but you won't be able to make use of the airbag or the power seat. None of them are bucket seats; even the TRD Aurion seats aren't quite buckety enough.

If you want bucket seats get some Bride/Sparco/Similar.

O ok , I see. Thats depressing knowing that toyota buckets arnt that buckety . thanks again Andrew.

If you want bucket seats get some Bride/Sparco/Similar.

Which would most likely require a mod plate also, since I don't think anyone makes after market seat rails for the Camry.

Mbruce whats a mod plate ?

    thanks for the help.

  10. Pedders, D2, K-Sport, BC, Yellow also make coils for the Gen4.

thanks andrew , i;ll look into them . :spiteful: they all Australian right ?

No. I am not sure about Pedders but the rest are CCS.

I've raised them up slightly so they sit roughly 115mm off the ground at the rails. I had them at 105mm and i was scraping stuff, and the tyres were scrubbing badly when cornering so I raised them back up. You can easily go lower but I dont see the point, if you can't drive it properly afterwards.

thanks for the help and guides guys , i really appreciate it ! :D
