  1. If your looking for Sportivo rims I can give you mine if you want. But they need to be repaired (respray and bog for the gutter rashes)

how large are they? when i get the $$ im looking at new rims for my '06 ;)

I'm pretty sure sportivo stockies are the same size as our standard rims 16"

  2. Ok so its pretty much just bog stock right now. But it has come a long way after just one week of owning it.

First wash as soon as I got it and before removing the roof racks, this thing was filthy! (Note the middle aged woman number plates LOL)

After removing the horrible roof racks and head light covers!

    Fresh tint job done

    Future mods:

    - New CD player

    - Lowering (not sure if to get new springs and shocks or go with coilovers - please suggest what would be better for a daily driver)

    - Sportivo wheels and maybe get them sprayed white

    - Yellow lense foggies

    - Centre dash lights to white LED's

    - Either mesh grill or spraying centre grill black and outer chrome to match body (open to suggestions)

    - New gear knob (when I actually find something good and doesn't look cheap)

    - K&N filter (acquiring next week)

These are just plans for now any more ideas would be tops! Cheers!

What does the K&N filter do differently to the standard one??

There are some pretty cool gear knobs floating around ebay, i would have a look there. and theres also the toyota TRD ones.

K&N filters have better airflow to the engine increasing SOME power and better fuel consumption compared to the crappy thick cheap air filters you get from Supercheap. Plus they have lifetime warranty and you never have to change air filters again. I just bought one from ebay for 75 bucks coming from VIC in a few days. If you went somewhere local like Repco or something they'd charge you double that!

I personally think a great air filter is essential for any car!

Cheers man but I won't be doing the rims for quite some time at the moment

  4. Ok I've been searching for ages throughout this forum and all I can find is stuff from years ago and no proper answer.

All I wanna know is what the best LED globes are to use when changing my centre dash lights so they are maxiumum brightness.

I only see different answers that arent solid and basically saying they still arent bright enough.

DOES ANYONE know the right ones to use and please show me a pic of yours too to prove it. I'm going nuts trying to figure this out.

I want to know the answer from an Ascent - Levin owner not a Sportivo version as they are different!

    Please halp someone :(

  5. You buy em by the ft lenght easy to trim, I think was 7-8 std from mem. But just measure up and they will send you longer no extra like they did for my iload.

I noticed yours went a bit rippley on the bends like mine did :( I ordered a few so hoping practice makes perfect :)

These things dont even last too long anyway. My old one eventually started to come off after a few months use but I sold the car before I even got to change it. Theyre pretty good just for covering up bumper scuffs but I wouldn't expect long usage out of them unfortunately.

  6. In regards to just changing the centre dash lights is it a total of x4 T5 wide angle LEDs or is there more that I should know about?

I know there is one for behind the clock, two behind the AC controls and another one for the ash tray.

    Is there anything else??

All I wanna do is get it matching white to be like my white gauges. Someone HALP

  7. Just installed a new head unit this evening. Custom colours to match with my dash lights.

    post-32058-0-56151100-1363512300_thumb.j

Can anyone suggest a specific globe I can use to replace the centre cluster lights to match with the stock dash globes??
Surely someones done it white before?

  9. Also I was thinking about getting the stockies painted white as I am seriously over buying new wheels (too expensive) and also keen on getting it lowered a bit. I'm no professional when it comes to lowering a Rolla so any suggestions on what I should do to get the best results for the suspension would be much appreciated. Wouldn't mind getting a Stivo exhaust kit as well.

    Thoughts?

  10. so thank god we drive the most common car on the road..!! haha

Well there's really only one other modified AE10x sedan in Newcastle, and it looks like a pile of crap, so I do tend to stand out more than your average Corolla :P

Hey Hiro I just looked at your 102 then it looks sweet as! Very impressed! I used to own a 102 seca a few years ago. Haven't seen yours around Newcastle at all though suprisingly considering how small this place is.

  11. Hey mate, im in the same sort of position as you here - looking to man up the ol corolla! Ive got pretty good tinting on my windows which is cool but once i finish uni i may get a new muffler or something a bit more pricey.

But since you've taken off the racks (and dont seem to have use for them..) i was wondering if you would consider selling them - i am in need..

Nice car by the way, hope you get a lot of good use from it ;)

Cheers buddy, yeah I was looking to sell them on Gumtree but if you wanna take them from me by all means. I'll PM you.

  12. Hey everyone I am from Newcastle and recently became the proud owner of a 2003 ZZE122 Levin after owning a 2002 Liberty RX for 4 years. I Just bought it 3 days ago from an older lady and am very happy with it so far. It originally had all the crappy headlight covers, bonnet protector, roof racks (yawn) and bad stickers but since removing them I've come to liking it much better!

Its bog stock right now but going to get some tint and a new head unit in there asap. Not planning on making alot of mods but looking to make it a bit more like a guy owns it so if anyone can suggest some minor changes I can make to make it more mine then by all means throw them at me!

Hope to learn alot from this forum.

    Cheers!
