  1. I'm a bit confused in regards to replacing the front door speakers of my 05 Sportivo. Do I get components or coaxial a since there are the factory tweeters near the front windscreen in each side? Would coaxials with the factory tweeters mess with the sound quality?
  2. Yo, I'm not that mechanically adept and I'm wondering whether you guys could give me input into whether my clutch on my facelift Sportivo needs replacement. Whenever I take off the revs shoot pretty high but the acceleration is way slower than it used to be. Prior to the slow acceleration the clutch used to omit a slight burning smell, but it doesn't do that as often as it used to. I don't think the clutch has been changed on my car and it's been 137000km. Does anyone know any sure fire ways of telling whether my clutch is slipping and needs replacing?? Also, sometimes when I try to accelerate it revs to around 3-4km, hesitates and doesn't go further.
  3. I just bought a TRD knob and have to thread the shaft before I can screw it on.
  4. Cheers, mate. I'm in the South-Eastern suburbs of Melb, in Glen Waverley.
  5. Haha, the prices now seem to be a lot higher... Would I be able to buy it/borrow it off you to thread my gear shaft? It's a die and not the tap right?
  6. Yeah, problem is that I don't have a tap and die set, and I don't think I'd be willing to fork out heaps of money to buy a set when I'd rarely ever use it again. :| Unless someone knows a place to get cheap die sets/has 12 x 1.25mm die sets that I could borrow?
  7. Is there any way to put the knob back on without threading it? The previous owner of the car managed to apply the knob without threads, and I'm just wondering how I could put it back on.
  8. Yeah, thought so. The top is uneven. Get back to me when you can!
  9. Hi, I'm just wondering what my shift rod is meant to be like after removing my shift knob. After removing the one I currently have on it, I'm unable to screw it back on. I'm not sure why this is. The rod is smooth from top to bottom, and doesn't seem to have any threads which would enable me to screw it back on as I screwed it off. So... what do I do?
  10. Hey, I bought a Stivo 05' a few months ago as my first car. I'm looking forward to getting to know my fellow Toyota/Sportivo owners. I'm also looking at changing my transmission fluid, can anyone tell me how hard it is for a noob like me? Saw the post regarding the DIY, seems simple enough, but the I'm sure the application itself is a lot harder than it seems...
