  1. My wife and I are very pleased with our move from a Lexus IS300 to a 2005 CVX Kluger. The Lexus IS300 and my previous LS400 made it very hard to look past the RX33/350 when it came to looking at a vehicle to ferry the grandchildren around, but after a test drive in the RX330, we were both very underwhelmed. Too much obvious plastic and poor front parking vision were two areas where the Kluger won over the Lexus. We have put a few thousand kilometers on the clock in the last month and are very happy with our purchase. The fuel consumption of 9.9l/100k-highway and 13.5l/100k-town, is acceptable but I would like opinions on highway/town tyres. Cheers Rig30mechanic
  2. G'day from a serial Toyota owner. I have just returned to the fold after a few years of Lexus ownership. I chose the Kluger over the RX due to better visibilty and a little less "plastic" feel at a non-premium price. The Minister for Finance is very please and prefers the ride height over the previous Lexus IS300. In only one month of ownership, we have already put in about 3000k's. A best of 9.9l/100k cruising and usually about 13.5 around town. (She has a heavy foot.) I have owned over 22 Toyota vehicles in my 45 years of driving with all of my children also owning, or have owned, Toyota vehicles. Maybe not the most passionate vehicles, but still the most reliable and easiest to own. Attached are pics of my first Toyota and my latest Toyota and superceded Lexus. I am a mechanic by profession, hobby and choice. Engineering is my passion (after my wife of 36years and my family) and Toyota is my first choice of vehicles. Cheers Rig30mechanic
