12-13.9 volts
its not spiking unless it’s faster than the refresh rate of the multimeter, but the multimeter is a Fluke, it’s not garbage!

Hi, just trying to evaluate if my car has the issue, or if the design/batch has an issue.
We have owned the corolla from new, and well looked after, but this car eats light globes for breakfast. In 10 years I have replaced the headlights 6-7 times, finally settling for chinese LED's which seems to have given me some relief from the rediculous cost of the headlight globes.
But I am at least once a year replacing brake lights, interior lights (such as aircon/temperature backlight), fog lights etc.
I have put a multimeter on the car, for long periods, different RPM etc. Cannot see any spikes, tried different brand globes etc. It just keeps blowing globes.
Toyota want nothing to do with it (surpise surprise), saying its all in spec. I owned a Yaris for 12 years and didnt replace a single globe and a Kluger for 9 years and replaced 1 tail light running globe. but I feel like the corolla is using obnxious amount of globes. For further context, we lost both headlights within 2 days of each other. This car is also our 2nd car and is only used 2-3 times a week, not our daily run about. We are on tar roads, and nothing out of the ordinary to "shock" or vibrate the globe filaments.
Any insight to other toyota owners from this era to help chase if this is an alternator/voltage regulator issue (which is my suspicion), or other users who have had similar issues.

the silver trim around teh radio rattles. I pulled it off, added some double sided tape and that issue is solved.
Cant wait to get some of the rattles you guys are describing.

Can everyone publicly post here the scenario in which this happens? Cruise on/off, engine cold/hot, outside temp hot/cold, driving hard/soft etc... Your model, Man, CVT??
Private phone calls etc is against the spirit of the forum to share and collaborate.
If you do have a issue with the vehcile and toyota wont listen, then refer to the ACCC Recalls department, or even call your motor vehicle association...
I have the 2013 ZRE182 Sport CVT. I have not noticed the above issues of non-responsive throttle, but have noticed the traction control kick in when parked on steep driveways.

2. Have had issues with my front window tint scratching along the top from putting window up and down. Toyota advised it was a users error. Sol-ace tint (where Toyota gets the car tinteD) advised that it is a known issue with the new Corollas due to the window seal being very tight on these new Corollas. Anyone had any issues?
I havent got scratching, but i have bubbles, which I am furious about. I am getting this fixed qat 1000K. Also scratches to plastic in interior whilst fitting tint. Not happy. I`ll keep an eye out of marks/scratches on the tint.
3. CVT transmission seems to rev up to 2000k just before coming to a stop. Is that normal? have taken it back to Toyota and they reckon its normal but it really does feel rough and from drivng other, it seems a bit odd.
I think this is normal. When your braking, the CVT increases the engine rpm by increasing the gear ratio, its attempting to use the engine brake to assist you. Once you get down to about 15Km/h it does just drop off suddenly, which I believe is the way Toyota have programmed this, but its not overly smooth.
4. I have a click noise from the right front wheel every time I go over a bump but once again Toyota can't fault it.
I havent got this, but how hard are you hitting the bumps? my Yaris has a 'clunk' over speed bumps, but i have to be going quite swiftly over them. I did kind of get this noise in the Corolla as well, but again, over a speed bump at a swift speed.

I am getting one in from the US, $15.
Ryco have one from Repco, but its $70.
I`ll let you know if the one from the US fits. Should be here in a week or so.

These models use electronic assisted steering,
Checkout page 288 of your manual and fuse 2 in the engine bay is for the power steering.
Pull it out, check its ok, and replace. Try again.
Another thing to try is to reset the car computer. I am not familiar with resetting the new corolla yet, but like most cars, disconnect the battery, wait 15 mins, and connect again. This will reset the gearbox's learning history as well, so might be a little sloppy with gear changes until it relearns your style..

No, Toyota have replaced some, I have replaced some. I’ve never handled globes with skin and contacts are tight and clean. As random globes across the vehicle are blowing and various brands, I feel like this is an electrical system issue VS a mounting/install issue
