Thanks, i got her working last weekend. it was just the timing... it was off... by 180 degree's haha. she lives now thou, runs like a damn dream! lol, cheers and beers mate.

oh i forgot to add, every few strokes trying to start her she would make a pop sounds and shoot some fuel vapour back out throught the carby.

i've just completed a top end rebiuld on my 1986 toyota hilux 4X4 ute, running a 22R engine, she wants to live but she just does not seem to want to fire. i got no idea how to do the timing from the distrubutor end, she just keeps missfiring. i really want her to live once more, she has been parked up for 12 months getting all the work done, Can any one give me any hints or pointers on how to ensure i get the firing timing correct?
