  1. Problem fixed!! It was the white connector block, i pushed it into hole in door and i heard it click and lock in, then the lock was working again with the remote, some how it came loose and dis-connected or maybe some one never put it in properly previously to us owning it. I didn`t manage to get the door trim of, i just pried it open, plugged the switch in and pushed door trim back in. Would be good to know though how the door trim comes of still.
  2. My other question is how do i remove this type of door trim? I already popped out the plastic behind door handle and removed that screw, but what else do i have to do, i don`t want to damage anything. Also i could see behind the door trim, in far left top of trim, there is a white plastic electrical connector which isnt connected to anything, im thinking this could be the problem, its come dis-connected.
  3. Hi my missus owns a toyota camry 2006 model. The car has been perfect and no trouble at all. Just recently though the rear left hand door isn`t locking or unlocking when activating it with the key remote central locking. It almost seems like nothing at all is happening, you can`t even hear the solenoids moving inside the door. All the other doors are working fine and as per normal. Im about to remove the door trim to try and have a look to see whats happening. I already tried spraying some rp7 into the locking mechanism but that didn`t change anything. Does anyone have any ideas?
  4. Well problem has reappeared again. Problem is the l/h parker light does not come on and even the indicator doesn`t work as its in the same light assemble, but the l/h panel side indicator and rear one is working. The plug has two wires a red wire with grey dots and a brown wire with grey dots, i have tested both wires and there is no power at all. I tried to back track the 2 wires in the loom inside engine bay, and it all goes to main loom which runs under the air filter ducting. I removed this to get to the loom and when i test the wires from there, there still isn`t any power, Its got me a bit stuffed now, as the wires i think go to the computer modules. Does anyone have any ideas?
  5. Thanks Martin. Well i did figure it out yesterday. I removed the battery and the main wiring loom was wedged sort of between the bottom of the battery tray and the crossmember, i pulled the loom up out of there and what do you know the parker light comes on again. So yes i believe there may be a break in the wire, or that could be where the join is to get the power from the r/h side parker and either way it may have to get re-done. Pretty simple fix if i just open up the loom and check it out. But for now all is good and its been staying on. If it plays up again i will know what to look for now. cheers
  6. Hi bud thanks for your reply. I have checked those fuses out already in the passenger side engine bay, and HLP fuses are 15 amps as this photo shows on the bottom r/h side. The power only passes through them when A: the headlights are on (low beam) and the other two fuses come on once high beam is activated, so it leads me to think that there arent any fuses still for the parker lamps.
  7. Hi im new to this forum and this is my first post, im hoping someone can help me out. We own a 2006 model camry altise which is actually my missus car. Recently the front l/h parker light stopped working, i just thought it was a simple globe change. I removed the globe this morning to find the globe was still good, so then with my light tester i checked to see if there was power at the light terminals in the plug, and there wasn`t. I tested further up in the wiring and there was no power in the wire at all. Now the r/h side parker light still works, just not the passenger side. I tried checking all the fuses and i can only find fuses for low beam and high beam headlights, i think there is no fuse for the parkers unless im wrong. Anyone have any ideas as to what the problem may be, i don`t really want to have to strip the wiring loom to try and find it, but i have a hunch that maybe there is a fuse for that side parker light?
