  1. Hi guys, new to this forum. I have a great 1999 Rav 4 five door. Recently the rear door lock won't work from the remote, I have to manually lock and unlock the door. Today I took the lock off and checked the servo motor in the lock assembly, it ran freely when I tested it. I couldn't find any mechanical problems with the lock, but I did notice that there are two sets of two wires that operate the lock. One set ran to the servo motor, no problem and the other set ran into the top of the lock assembly. Please see attached photo. Is this a sensor on the top of the lock? I can't open it like the servo area, everything else seems ok, so I am guessing this is the problem. Any ideas please, solutions would be much appreciated. Thanks Len
