  1. I just took this pic of my 2011 Aurion. I would have thought they would have gone to full metal. Has anyone with later models had any pipe issues?
  2. Also, in another post in another forum, there was no mention of a filter? I just checked ebay quickly and there was only one filter kit for sale, which didn't list what comes with it. Is there a pan gasket, filter and also a magnet to clean like a usual tranny?
  3. I pretty competent in changing oils, but the only part that worries me is the fact there is no proper dipstick apart from an inspection hole, and also having to use an infared gauge
  4. I'm running dunlop 300es on it which I think are OEM. Quite impressed with the even tyre wear, also done 20k so far on them and plenty of meat. I'm going to try Michelin xm2 next time around. I've kept it at 33psi, seems to be a good in between. The bouncy ride seems to be a trait of aurions.
  5. I've seen more on this in the states with the camry 3.5 v6 they call it over there. Even as a diy the use a infrared scan tool for the temperature. Has anyone honestly ever given the flush a good crack? I've had two failures in the past, a 96 El Falcon with 228km on the 4 speed btr, also a vy with 180km using a 4l60e. I just can't believe how incredibly difficult it is on the aurion compared to older transmissions. It's like they don't want the diyer to give it a go. Anyway I've of got 55k on mine yet I still want to give it a flush for peace of mind.
  6. The car just went through a roadworthy, and also Toyota and they noted nothing at all wrong with the car apart from a battery that is not at full strength.
  7. Thanks Kinezo.. So what pressure have you got the Atx at? I've got them at 34psi and it seems sorta choppy still. I might drop them down to 30 as per manufacturers specs.
  8. Yeah its 210kpa cold which is 30psi. I just checked books, up to 140kmh, with 4 people is 35psi or 240kpa. So basically 33 or 34 psi should be a good in between right?
  9. It's a 2011 model with 55k. I'm running 215/60/16 with 34 psi. Is that too high you reckon? Car is totally stock standard.
  10. Hi, just recently bought an aurion atx 2011. The bouncy ride seems even more apparent the more I drive it. I have had a bit of a read, but is this really the way they are? I find it quite unsettling in a bad way. I hired a 2011 ve2 commodore, and I remember it loped along on the highway beautifully. It seems supple and soaks up bumps well, but the ride to me is just bad. It's like it hits one small corrugation, which unsettles the whole car.
  11. I've looked into the vvti oil hose, I can't seem to figure out exactly which hose it is. Can I safely assume that being a 2011 model it would be rectified?
  12. Hey all, First Toyota owner! Just picked up a 2011 diamond white AT-X. Only has 49k and full history at Toyota. It's in excellent condition, stock apart from tints. I was really after a Sportivo but sacrificed for something as new as possible and lowest ks for price. I'll Change a few things around to keep me happy. I actually quite like it stock because it just blends in, and a good car for my missus and 2 boys under 2. It's a revelation after my vy commodore. I can't believe the in gear grunt. It'd very deceptive. Picked it up for $11,950.
