  1. Hello fellow TOC members, I require the "Nuts and bolts" of your to TIME my 1993 3L series 1993, with 2.8 diesel engine. I have stripped it down to replace water pump, and timing gear, but am not sure if the timing is 180 degrees out !. Too many cooks have spoiled my broth, so to speak. The engine turns over with no restriction (valves etc), but prior to dismantling the unit, it run just fine, although it has been over-heated, I detected no adverse effects of said over-heating. I did not remove the Glow-plugs, as was recommended, as I, being ignorant of the procedure, and lacking a deep socket, changed the pump and timing gear without removing said plugs. Is this a major issue ?. I have since removed the Plugs, and wish to re-assemble the engine, correctly this time, but am uncertain if any damage has been caused due to my impatience. any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Cheers in advance for your help. Warmest regards FnOzi (Kevin)...
