  1. Cheers for replying to the thread. Is there any way of testing the antenna? from inspection all appears to be well and good but of course internally may be screwed. Going off what the radio bloke said he reckons its the tuner thats died, however he wasn't aware of the antenna situation.
  2. Hi All, Just in abit of a pickle. I have a 2001 Toyota Camry purchased approx. 1 month ago. Owned by an elderly woman all its life. Before it was sold it had a new battery installed and reset the radio so it wanted a Security code put in, I just took the easy way around it and installed a cheapish sony aftermarket head deck. I can't seem to pick up any radio stations at all though, the CD player works fine, but I get no white noise at all it's dead silent. I contacted a radio installer and he suggested the tuners dead in it, which I see as a possibility as the head deck was already second hand. However my antenna doesnt pop up at the back, hasn't since I bought the car, doesn't even try to so I was wondering if that possibly has something to do with the radio not working? Just want to try and work it out before I go out and buy a brand new head deck. Any input would be greatly appreciated, Cheers P.S it's a 2001 Camry CSI
