Low rumbling sound

Hi Everyone, I drive a 2003 Toyota Conquest Corolla automatic that has been well looked after. The only problem I have is that I can hear a low rumbling sound when driving. It is hard to tell where it is actually coming from. The sound seems to come and go and can happen at any speed. I have owned it for four months and the car has travelled 123,000 k's. I have checked tyres and they are in good order. Does anyone know what can be the reason for this sound? Cheers Quarterdeck
