Hello all, Just a question really. I drive 2 Hilux 4x4's, one is a 2011 SR manual diesel 80,000km's, the other is a new 2014 SR5 auto diesel 3,000km's. I've noticed that the SR5's diesel engine is a lot noisier than the older SR. After a 500km trip yesterday the SR5 still sounded like it was cold, turned off the a/c etc, no difference. By noise I mean the diesel "top end" rattle that is normal to a greater or lessor degree. The SR is a lot quieter even when just started in the morning. Is there a huge difference in the engines that accounts for this? Both drive fine no power issues etc.
