visited toyota in cairns re excesive oil use told it is normal to use 200ml per 1000km they want me to go to my local dealer every 1000km and check and record oil use and to go back to them after 5000km to discuss if i have a problem with excesive oil use

my rave4 d4d turbo no oil on stick 17ks at 20k service oil down a 3rd on stick service manager had a toyota memo that suggested a part engine rebuild and increase service from 10000 down to 5000 at my cost for the extra service. going to cairns tomorrow to see dealer where I purchased car will keep you posted on development.
