  1. no worries, well mines around 1800mm give or take 20mm hard to gauge, and thats with bigger tires, so guess i still have standard hieght suspension and the torsion bars havnt been wound up
  2. Thanks Manxman, have you any idea if this is from the bottom of the rim or from the deck up? ide assume they wouldnt measure from the floor since tires sag etc would all be different, but 1.8m would be from the floor.
  3. Gday, want to check the height of my car against stock. Please if you know the measurement from the middle of the hub to underside of tire arch (body) it would be greatly appreciated, cheers Brad
  4. yep whole dash has to come out, full day job atleast, not going to worry about it. Its had a full engine rebuild including all pumps etc, also a full gearbox rebuild (inc both diffs) only 38,000 km ago, so wont need timing etc that soon. I have put a small amount of grease into the top ball joint, would you recommend pulling out the bolt and putting a grease nipple into the lower ball joint on front end and putting a few squirts in? Also found a small exhaust leak on the flexible joint about half way down, will get this sorted, has to be cut out and rewelded.
  5. cheers for that, as for the extent of low ratio, i have no idea, its in great nick inside and out , no rust anywhere, engine bay is clean as a whistle and all running well, only faults i can find is the heater core for the cabin heating has rotted through (as per your post) and i have had to block it off, and my interior light works for a bit and then blows the fuse, obviosly a wire which has its insulation broken down. Any idea how hard it is to replace the heater in the cabin?
  6. Gday all, recently picked up a 1999 dual cab with the 5L 3.0L diesel engine, have carried out a oil/filter/FO filter change, and i have greased the main drive line (all nipples on uni joints), and checked the air filter. I may have a slight exhaust leak somewhere along the pipe, havnt had a real hard look yet. Engine, gear box and front and rear diffs have all been overhauled in the last 30,000km. Shes only done 180,000 km. Are there any other grease ports i should know about, nothing on the suspension or in the hubs etc? Also are there any other things i should check for? Any help is great Cheers Brad
