Dear all, I'm new in the forum and I would appreciate your assistance. Problem: during driving, after awaiting at the lights and started moving, (sometimes) the car seems to rattle slightly when it's trying to engage into the next gear, obviously when I press the accelerator. A few times, I had to force the accelerator more so that the engine would not cut off, but when this did not happen (once), the engine power was cut off, and had to park it and restarted the engine. In the meantime, we have noticed that the petrol was 'smelly' and we have added the usual 'unleaded' fuel to mix the tank's contents in case there is some impurity. I have not changed the fuel filter, but I have changed the spark plugs and re-charged the battery, just in case that we have an electrical problem. Should I suspect that the fuel filter has to change? Do I need to change the ignition leads? Engine has done 142,000 and is a SV21R-EPGKB-PS / 3SFE and was serviced when at 120,000kms.
