I had a similar problem with water in the ECU. The whole vehicle gradually shut down. The reason for the water in the ECU was different: I took the 100 swimming (unintentionally). The fix was for a Toyota dealer to clean all of the contacts on the ECU, as they had corroded. They couldn't guarantee the fix, and said that if it occurred again the next option was a new ECU. This was 2 years ago, and fortunately the 100 has run perfectly since then. Hope this helps. OTG
