  1. Hi Guys, I wish you all a very merry Christmas and all the best for 2016. I have a 1999 Camry 2.2l auto and intend to use engine oil flush and replace filter at the same time, so need to know how much oil this little car takes and what is the best oil to use, the car has 261,000 on it. I have new s/leads and plugs...well two sets of plugs. Autolite(copper core) and Denso Iridium IK20...what would you recommend. I will also replace air filter and take out 02 sensor and clean and put back. Any advice is would be appreciated. Glen.
  2. Yes it was sump gasket leaking and has been changed next is the timing belt but the local garage can do that, can someone explain to me what O/D is and should I have it on or off?, my Calais and my Toyota are both auto and both my first autos, my Calais has 6 speed auto that is semi auto and has on O/D but the Camry has it and don't know what to do with it?. Thx Glen.
  3. Thanks trentmeyer23, Its a good little car just needs some TLC and she's gonna get some from me, they guy I got her form was 80 so sort of trust him he said the leak was from the sump but gonna have a good look any other problem with them I should look out for? Thx Glen.
  4. Hi Tom, Never heard of Caldina gt4 here in Australia so sorry unable to help you, it says non Au member and so as pom myself I will ask around and see, I know a few in the import game here they may be able to help, I wanted to import a ford escort xr3i turbo....someone did import an escort I have seen it. Give me a few days k. Glen.
  5. Hi there, there must be a way of making the humble 2.2 go better, I only brought this car for work as I have a Calais 6.2l but have found this car to be fun in a way, its no speed ship but hey very good on petrol...air con cold and cooling out off this world. I like my little car, whilst I will not play with my Calais I will with this a little. It defeats the point if I end up using more petrol so modest changes are needed, I wanted a manual but for the price ended up with and auto. As I have never owned a Toyota I need to ask... Timing belt was changed @ 103,000 in 2005, car now has almost 260,000 on it....should I change it? Also can I put the other dash cluster in....ie the one that has the auto in the left window?. There is a small oil leak from somewhere yet to find it but any places I should be looking? In all very impressed with my 1999 Carmy. Thx Glen.
  6. Hoping to learn from you guys.
