  1. Suspension in and works well. Have done some crude soundproofing around compressor in spare wheel well, but she still sounds like an ice cream truck when pressurising - nothing 'silent' about this car really! Here are some hasty pics.
  2. Freshly wrapped and in desperate need of boots and height adjustment
  3. Thanks and I should give a salute to cductn whose sweet Rukus helped influence the mods and who was also super helpful when contacted for advice by a suspension and stance ignoramous.
  4. Eternal life and supreme zen wisdom. You will walk around saying things like, 'show me the sound of one hand', and annoying everyone with your inner peace. Just trying to fun things up and de-sissify green t.
  5. Measuring up for air suspension Everything will fit in wheel well which is pretty roomy with storage tray removed. (sorry for amateur photography) Would have liked budget to permit twin compressors, donut tank and electronic regulator, but can always upgrade when we hit the bigtime!
  6. Vinyl wrap was a real graphic headache - ready for production
  7. Wheels - Lenso 17", wanted 18s but got a good deal
  8. Gday readers, modifying my Rukus for a new startup business. Thought I'd document the transformation here. I was after a quirky Japanese mini truck which I could wrap and lower. Initially I was looking at a Nissan Cube, but steadily my preference swung to the Rukus. These cars haven't had much joy here in Australia, but with a Camry engine and heaps of room, I reckon they're an underrated ride. They also haven't had a facelift, so the earlier models still look current. The plan: 1. Full graphic wrap in green 2. Black Rims 3. Air suspension (obviously to turn heads but I need to be able to adjust the ride height to accommodate a full payload of glass bottles. Coilovers wouldn't handle this). Here she is stock... 2012 model And a Photoshop roughup of the desired look
