Can anyone tell me what's going on with my Hilux ute? I have a 2000 model 2wd petrol manual ute. 3RZ-FE engine. Over the last couple of months every now and then it just refuses to start, not flooded nothing unusual, just won't start. Leave it sit for a couple of hours and away you go. Today I'm driving and as soon as I take my foot off the accelerator it stalls. No idle at all, plus the brake pedal went extremely hard. Parked up and an hour later its as good as gold. Its driving me nuts and I don't want to be ripped off by a mechanic that decides to replace everything he thinks it might be. Any ideas?
