  1. Yup installed and using it every day. Love it! . PM me with your number, or with any questions and I'd be happy to help. Have full wiring code and wire colours you will need to connect to (well for the Sportivo anyway...mostly the same). Fairly straight forward but my unit had over 40 wires and if you are wanting to do things properly (run with original loom etc..) it will take several days. Worth it though. Cheers.
  2. Hi Alex.. Having purchased a Sportivo earlier this year I went through the "choosing the right alarm thing" also and got limited info form the forum . I also live in Adelaide and would be happy to give you some direction on local installers etc... I have a remote start and love it! Just PM me your number and I'd be happy to help.
  3. Yeah, looks like there aren't many of us down here... or the rest are hiding Strange, as I was sure there were at least 5-6 of us on the forum. Any more ideas for servicing location????
  4. Hi Guys, Just wondering where everyone takes their Stivo in Adelaide for Service. Need to have the 20K one done but also would like to raise a couple of minor issues (common faults), but don't want to get the dumb look and have them tell me they've "never heard of such a problem". Also don't hear much from you guys in SA so maybe a good time for a bit of a get together. Cheers.
  5. A "Code Alarm" from the US. Almost finished. Started installing it last night and continued it today. Have had a few in previous cars and they are rock solid. Never had any problems..... Can't wait to be able to use the remote start on those chilly mornings... ;)
  6. I believe you must be talking about a factory alarm or factory upgrade??? All I'm after are the wire colour and locations to install an aftermarket unit. As the unit I'm installing has remote start, turbo timer, window close, etc, etc it has over 30 odd wires. It would make life alot easier if i could follow a diagram so that I don't have to manually find each wire myself. Can be done (quite easily even), just takes time... I would be interested in your wiring diagrams if you're willing to share them. Thanks.
  7. Hi Guys. I have been searching the internet and various forums trying to get my hands on both a workshop and wiring diagram for my 05 Sportivo. I have also spoken with a few members who are also after the same. It seems that when I do spot a link, it turns out broken! I was wondering also if anyone had a cheat sheet for alarm wiring points? Now before some of you start jumping up and down saying that they wouldn't post it for "security" reasons I would like to say that this information is quite easy to work out for a thief that wants a Sportivo / Corolla anyway. Secondly, if you are worried, it must be that the alarm you have hasn't been installed all that well. ... It's just that I would rather spend the extra hour or so doing something else other than probing wires over the weekend. If you can help with any info but don't want to post please feel free to PM me. ...... I find it hard to believe that no one has a workshop / wiring diagram in the whole forum, or is it just that you would rather keep it for yourselves. <_< Any help would be appreciated.
  8. Thanks for the posts guys. Yeah rollamods that's what i was trying to say with "the rope switch arrangement around the gear stick". I've seen it done several ways but each way is as ugly (to install that is and also agricultural) as the next.... Yeah a bypass module is what I'm using. Still needs the head cut off my spare key and placed in the bypass module to relay the transponder details to the cars original immobiliser.... I'm not doing it for the w@nk factor, rather so that my wife actually warms up the car prior to driving off!!!
  9. remote start??u mean starting ur rolla using a remote?or like a button where u press it and start ur car?if like pressing thingy, Danz fitted one of those on his car....not sure if thats what u mean. As in remote start using a car alarm. Problem being that when you use remote start you must make sure the trans is in neutral or...... well you know.. I have the alarm but just wondering how others went with the gearbox issue..
  10. Hi Guys, First post so here goes...simple question. Just wondering if anyone has fitted remote start to their corolla? I'm just about to put one on our Sportivo and was wondering if by chance (like on a friends Nissan) there is a position on the gearbox for a neutral switch? Or will I have to go for the rope switch arrangement around the gear stick? Thanks.
