  1. Update: Just took the belt off and the noise is still there.... Surprising easy to take off, and only a few minutes longer to put back on. But that involve getting under the car and also using the coat hanger.

  3. Yes I do hear it at idling, how easy is that to do myself?
  4. My 2zzge engine has just started making a distinct ticking noise that increases with revs coming from timing chain side of the engine. Took it into Toyota and he said it the noise might be coming from the water pump(no record of being replaced, traveled 215k). Just wondering if anyone else has a problem similar. He quoted $1200 to check the timing chain stuff, unsure on the cost of water pump replacement though. Cheers Tane
