in south africa .. i also had the slector fix done .. to be quite honest it did not feel that different from the start .. my main issue is that my clutch pedal feel is extremely hard in comparison to other cars .. the pedal even began to make a noise when depressed ?? needless to say all they do is grease the pedal which helps for two days and the noise comes back. My box also makes the noise when the clutch is not in, and i think my friends one does to ??? As far as the power gains are concerned, i have had a few runs before and after the change under different conditions. When the temp is hot the car seems to loose alot of torque but actually does not fall out of the quoted figures. the effect on the power is less though ??? i will post one of my dyno's later on so you guys can have a look and see.

Hello there ... i am from South Africa and i fear that most of your issues could be related to the fact the car is made here. Prior to E123 shape we had a AE111 i think ? with a 4age 20valve engine mated to a locally produced 6 speed box. Well let me tell you this gear box has given endless problems when used hard. I know have a RunX RSi (SPORTIVO) 2ZZ-GE and to be honest i have been having the same and in some instances worse problems than you guys. A few guys here with these cars have come together to compare but the cars are like chalk and cheese ? To be honest we thought we were missing second because we were doing something wrong but you have to do a medium shift in order to get the gear .. as soon as you rush it .. it gets stuck .. third goes in but it does make a strnage noise when going in. Like many of you i love the car and it can be really rewarding but there are a few issues that seriously need to be addressed. Also i found under hard a hard launch from the mark it's more difficult to get the gear in than let's say froma rolling launch ... a friend of myne's clutch disintergrated at 20000 k's and they would not replace it under warranty stating that he was abusing the car. i asked them why sell a performance car then if not for abuse. they brag with figures and kilowatts but when it comes time to back up the claims they are useless .. i have written books to toyota about my problems and suggestions on how to improve the car like a strut brace at least for the front and even to make the car standard a bit lower than the other models but no luck .. they do not want to help ... anyways nice knowing that others with the same problem .. thought i could not change properly
