The family of an elderly couple allegedly killed in a street race are upset the man charged over the deaths will never face court, after he was found dead in a car yesterday.

The 28-year-old man, from Glenmore Park, was due to face charges of street racing, dangerous driving and negligent driving over the July 29 deaths of Alan and Judith Howle, aged 71 and 70, at St Marys.

The man, who has not yet been formally identified, was out on bail for the alleged offences and was due to appear in Penrith Local Court on March 17.

Police were yesterday called to St Thomas Street in Mulgoa about midday where they discovered the man's body inside a car.

A Howle family member told The Daily Telegraph last night they were upset the man would not face his actions in court but also expressed grief for his family.

"We're just disappointed that he didn't get to face the consequences of his actions but on the other hand, our hearts go out to his family who now have to go through a loss of a loved one."

Crime scene officers and detectives were called to the scene but although the cause of his death is not known, police are not treating it as suspicious.

Police last night would not confirm a report that earlier yesterday the man had been informed the charges against him were to be upgraded to manslaughter.

But a police spokeswoman admitted officers were conducting further inquiries into those charges.

"Police were looking into these charges," the spokeswoman said.

"The NSW Coroner has directed that a critical incident investigation team be established to examine the circumstances surrounding the man's death.

"Police believe there are no suspicious circumstances involved."

It is alleged the man and two others were racing on the Great Western Highway on July 29 when they collided with the Howle's vehicle, killing them instantly.

Robert James Borkowski has been in jail since his arrest over the incident last year and is facing a number of charges including two counts of manslaughter.

The dead man and another 28-year-old from Hebersham were under investigation by the police crash investigation unit and were only charged last month.

  2. Model Sues over Jewellery Ad

    http://news.ninemsn.com.au/article.aspx?id=341780

A model who says she has worked hard to maintain a wholesome image has filed a $US5 million ($A5.67 million) lawsuit saying a jewellery company's advertisement in which she writhes and moans looks pornographic.

The online commercial shows a woman wearing lacy lingerie and a diamond necklace while moaning and stroking her face and neck. It ends with the web address for the jewellery company, Szul.com.

Court papers filed on Monday by the 37-year-old unidentified woman say she did not "consent to or authorize the use of her likeness, picture, image or name to simulate a female having an orgasm or otherwise experiencing sexual pleasure."

The idea for the ad was that an average man would get a woman excited by putting a necklace on her, the lawsuit says.

While filming the commercial with Q2 Entertainment in November, the woman was told to sit and feign excitement for a few seconds while the young man put the necklace on her, the lawsuit says.

Then the director told her to fake excitement while lying down, the lawsuit says.

The woman was paid $US200 ($A227) but never signed a release that allows her image to be used in an ad or commercial, the lawsuit says.

The lawsuit names Szul Jewelry, Q2 Entertainment and Q2 principal Mitchell Goldman as defendants. None of the defendants immediately returned telephone calls seeking comment on Wednesday.

  3. Hey man,

Check out this guide on how to polish metal, that should show you hot to polish that inlet Polishing guide here!

    Cheers,

    Chris

Thanks for the link to the guide Chris, is very helpful

should best ask a car paint pro.

theres a great place about a minute off the great western highway near the (fox hills?) golf course around girraween/toongabie area if u are able 2 go round there... ill give you the contacts if you are interested.

they got all the paint, and sell the equipment and they are pretty good with advice on painting 2 if u wanna do this DIY.

Thanks for the advice, however i was seeking assitance in regards to preparing the cam covers (by removing the media of the covers after sand blasting it) before i get it painted elsewhere

  4. Heys Guys,

Today I got my spare set of Cam covers sand-blasted (see picture below). Basically I am going to have these painted in a Red Two-pack Expoxy heat treated paint with the use of a spray-gun, I want them to stand out like dogs balls..

I know most other people have painted the cam covers in the VHT Engine Enamel paint, I for one have my existing set of cam covers painted in VHT paint, but IMO i think the VHT paint looks just flat and plain, and I have noticed the paint is starting to bubble since I accidentally spilt oil over it.

Now I would like to know how to...

Sand this inlet so it looks polished

    dsc00757sc3.jpg

What would be good way to remove the substances out of inside it? I want to have to have it looking clean free of sludge..

    dsc00758en8.jpg

And If I sand the letters would they develop rust afterwards?

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

  5. nice work man, lots of detail. Love it. Im planning to spray my calipers on my sportivo. I just CBF gettn off my ****, but im gonna spray mine gold.

NICE WORK, keep the pics comming. You couldve also just used upholstery glue and a staple gun for the parcel tray but im sure the aluminium strip is quicker.

Yeah, I was considering using upholstery glue and a staple gun, however I just thought since you have to allow it time for the glue to dry you need to allow the vinyl to stay firmly in place so it doesnt look crinkled shortly after you apply the glue, which is why i thought my way of using the aluminum strip would keep the vinyl firmly in place.

Plus, if you notice in some kitchens in houses, Aluminium strips are used to keep the lino firmly placed on the floor, which is where i got the idea to use the Aluminium strips for the Parcel Tray.

Also, the aluminium strips are underneath the tray, and im planning to paint them black so they wont be so they will be hidden unless you tilt your head underneath to view it..

But by the way, thanks for the positive feedback :toast:

  6. nah trust me mate thats alot of work. even if its just a bit of painting.

    ohh well thanks man :)

  7. damn mate!!!

you've done quite a lot of things to your new baby!!! keep up the good work!

    thanks man,

meh personally i dont think i have done alot, still more to come ;)

  8. he's on his Red Ps which means automatic disqualification... live and learn...

not necessarily, if he puts off paying it for a month and then gains his green p's, then afterwards he can pay for the fine and then lose 3 points (provided that he hasnt commited any offences previously) and have 4 points left and he wont lose his license..

you need to re-read the new regulations for red P plate drivers...

it does not matter how may points you have or haven't got, you speed at all, you will get your license suspended if you are caught.

oh ok, well its miss conduct on the cops behalf for letting him go without taking his license away on the spot

  9. i think he charged me with this: "More than 15 km/h but not more than 30 km/h"

on the ticket it says, more than 15kmh

and it's $238 if it was the next range "mor dan 30 less than 45" it'd be 609$

which i nearly got myself into tht... if i did 1kmh more...

    i was doing 80...fortunately/unfortunately

okay well, you were lucky in both ways that the cop didnt realise you were on your red p platers and he didnt enforce the instant suspension since the new rta laws on red p platers enforces them to lose there license instantly regardless of how fast you were going..

so now you should drive like a granny, go for your green p's then pay for the fine and you will lose 3 points and be thankful you still have the privilage to drive, unlike myself many other p platers who have learnt the hard way

  10. he's on his Red Ps which means automatic disqualification... live and learn...

not necessarily, if he puts off paying it for a month and then gains his green p's, then afterwards he can pay for the fine and then lose 3 points (provided that he hasnt commited any offences previously) and have 4 points left and he wont lose his license..

on the fine it will say you have 21 days to make further action by payment, if you dont pay it within the 21 days they will send you a reminder of the fine however the fine will still be the same amount, if you dont pay the fine within the further 21 days given as a reminder afterwards the fine will be increased with a 3rd reminder

if the cop didnt cut him some slack and actually booked him for the offense he commited "30km/h over the limit but no more than 45km/h" then it would be a suspension regardless of what type of license you hold..

  11. wow, like your ride...

lot of time spent on your thread.................. and your car...

how long has all that taken you so far, if you don't mind me asking...

i love the 4age's, i used to own one in a ae82, they hammer and hammer and they keep on going and going...

i once had a plan to do up that car, but didn't bother, but years and years dragged on, so finally just got rid of it, and brought myself a newer rolla...

but all in all, i like what you've done to your car. top stuff...

i purchased this car late February this year, so shortly after i started with the little changes and then continued on with further mods a month later until present, still a long way to go.. thanks for your feedback though..

    Very well done!!!

congrats you have put alot of effort into her and its paying off!!

    love it!

come to alto parts in north ryde if you want parts! i work there and i can get you what you need!

i shall come and pay you a visit in the near future, im in need of a few parts.. thanks for your feedback.
