AE102 window winder slider broken

If anyone is interested I fixed it. Works better than the original now! -
My friendly window tinter forced the window down breaking the slider. There is nothing wrong with the regulator or the wire. Toyota only sell the whole assembly! Anyone go any suggestions for a fix? I am thinking of attaching a U bolt below the slider to lift it up. I am hoping the existing swage on the cable ( see top of first picture) will be able to push down. Thanks Steve
