  1. Thanks for your reply. Rob had reply my email and he have contacted the manufacturer about this issue as he have never seen this before. For me, non of the buttons work to change the screen. The only thing that work is the Brightness button which change the contrast in 3 levels. Basically the screen is out the rest remain working. I have a feeling it was the graphics card or something like that fail. Anyway, I have taken it out and waiting for Rob to reply and send it back to him for troubleshooting. Just brought my old portable Sat Nav out to use it again. Will keep you guy posted. I've encountered a similar problem in the past. It's only happened twice when it was new and never happened since. I would get the white screen, but only on the NAVI page. If I went back to the stereo, it would display fine, but when I press NAVI, it would go to a white screen. It was kinda weird when it happened as well. The screen like washed away to white (in the way an etch-a-sketch clears). I think it was all related to the iGO8 when I was initially experimenting with it though. I found for that issue, pressing the reset button didn't help, and the only way to fix it was to cut power to the unit (by turning the car off) and then turning it back on again. With any issues though, the support that Rob gives is exceptional. He will take the time to contact the manufacturer to help find out what is wrong; hopefully saving you from doing a warranty return. I had a problem some time ago that he was able to solve for me.
  2. Hi guys, Wonder anyone encounter this at all? The screen just go blank in with white background. try reset the system problem remain. Funny thing was everything still working except the screen with no display except. Email Rob this morning, no reply so far.
  3. Hi DJKOR, Mine does as long as you don't eject the CD or DVD.
  4. Hi Olywood, I'd say no, probably not. The AVC-6901 that we're talking about here is designed for the Aurion/Camry. However, Auspack does sell the same unit in generic double-din configurations (I believe it is the same unit, can't say for sure). Your best bet would probably be to email Rob @ Auspack (see the website) and he'd be able to give you a definite answer. bok Hi Guys, Can anyone share some lights here on how to get the file working? Which version of Australian map we can use? I downloaded the sensis R14 yesterday wonder it fit? I unzipped the downloaded IG08 file int he SD card and set it to read from that folder and the GPS said can't find content? What else did I miss? Thanks
  5. I could do with some help. I have a copy of IGO8 aand Aussie Maps but not sure if it's the right one. If it is how do i get this to work on the AVC? Oh, radio reception issue resolved. It was an issue with two transposed pins on the supplied loom. BlueAurionSX6, May I know how do you resolve the weak reception problem, which pins and how? Otherwise will have to email Auspack. Thanks,
  6. Argie, If you follow the thread in page 1 you will find the information you need. The one I got is from Melbourne, not sure in NSW.
  7. Guys, Just to let you all I got the unit this afternoon and had installed it. What you see is what you get and for $900 I can't complain about the quality. The sound quality is more or less the same as the OEM unit, but the beauty is you get the GPS 2007 Q2, TV Tuner (I did not install), Reverse camera set (next weekend project), DVD is up and running (Picture quality, can't complain), Radio (with RDS). The only annoying thing is the beep sound when you adjust the volume up or down (commented by DKZR6 by the way Austpack send his regard). Installation was easy just plug and play. Here are some pictures I took just now. I personally think is value for money.
  8. I purchased the one from Auspack Electronics last week. Was going to take photos this weekend and start a new thread. Anyway its absolutely perfect. Picture quality is amazing. It is Plug and play to a certain degree. You will need to wire in the reverse camera, the power for the tv antenna, and the handbrake switch (which you can just earth so the DVD works all the time). The steering wheel buttons all work perfectly too. There is a factory harness adaptor which it comes with so it simply just plugs in. DVD, NAV, Radio, Reverse Camera, USB, etc all - Brilliant Ipod interface works perfectly, however the screen colours used are not to my liking. Hard to read the playlist. Sound Quality varies depending on how you wire it up. If you just connect is per the factory wiring that it is supplid with, it sounds like the factory stereo which is still ok, However It also beeps everytime you press a button or touch the screen - gets annoying. I wired mine up to my amp as it has RCA outputs. Sound is fantastic - couldn't be happier. The beep is also eliminated when you wire up via an amp. (the unit also has an AMP trigger wire to switch your amp on and off). Screen resolution is best i've seen in a car. 1440 hi res is correct and it is viewable from any angle in the car. Even from the front with no loss in picture quality. I would recommend this to anyone thinking about it. I'll post photos over the weekend. Hi DKZr6, Thanks for your feedback mate. To me the sound should be ok as I am quite ok with the existing OEM player sound quality anyway. I have no intention of getting the boom box anymore, it is an addiction, I stay away from it now. I just want to confirm that this unit work with the steering buttons. I believe you can use the exiting sockets to an extend? When you open a new thread I will post some photos as well, going to pick up this unit this afternoon and I will give you guys my review. I don't think i am going to complain too much for a unit which is less then $900.
  9. Any HU is not that different with installation. Plug and play or not, that price just doesn't worth going there.. meaning, with that price, you can get much decent aftermarket HU from other brands.. Thanks Dannywss for your feedback, I see where you are coming from, I think my requirement is very simple, I wanted is to have a build in GPS and reverse camera and also having the OEM look on the dashboard and for $900 without installation perhaps it is worth considering? Also I want to make sure the buttons on the steering work without any adaptor required especially the display button for the changes of the indication on the speedo.
  10. Contacted Austpack and the price is really competitive. Has anyone there bought from them before and did the installation of the Camry/Aurion unit? According to them this is a plug & play unit. I need some advise and feedback if anyone out there care to share their experiences. The other mob is more then double the price but include installation. :(
  11. Thanks DKzr6, I followed your guide and managed to change my front and rear speakers last weekend and also put in a white neon light for the trunk. It was not an easy job but got it all done within an afternoon. I did not put 6" x 9" at the front but a 6.5" as I worry about the windows clearance. The sound truly improve compare to the original, and can't believe the original speakers were so horrible and light weight.
  12. Wondering anyone can help and give me some advise? I am going to upgrade the 6x9 speakers on the rear this weekend and also noted that boot light is very useless and wondering whether to upgrade to neon or LED? I assume if I get the 12V type I can tap it straight out from the existing light's wiring? Thanks, Stephen
