    Brakes

    Humbug posted a topic in Hilux Club

    Evening. Have 5L diesel with vacuum pump on front of alternator. Brakes are normal on first use. When pedal pressed second time, it gets hard and brake light flash and go off. Bypassed a reservoir pot on fender and connected vacuum pipe straight to booster. Pedal and brakes are better but still get hard afterwards in traffic. Is it booster or vacuum pump that is faulty?
