  1. Hey everyone! I've recently noticed a rattle noise coming from my 2003 Prado (1GR-FE 4.0 v6) the sound only happens under load between 3000-3500 rpm (going up hill for the most part but also under some harder acceleration) the level of the noise does change but it doesn't occur when the revs are sitting around that mark when coasting or going down a hill. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm hoping its a simple fix and nothing major as its not a permeant noise therefore I'm leaning towards valvetrain or timing chain. I plan to take off the sump and clean off the oil pick up screen at the next service but I've never had the oil pressure light come on so I don't think its an issue. Anyway I'm all ears and I'd greatly appreciate any advice!
