  1. It should be a warranty fix.

Mine is "designated" a creak rather than rattle and for the 4th time is going in this week.

They need it for a few days, so it's obviously not an easy fix and the previous post on here about the origin being up near the windscreen and most of the dash needing to be pulled out rings true.

We will see how we go. If mines not sorted this time, I'm selling it.

  2. been awhile guys.

had an accident christmas eve. will post some pics when i get a chance.

ours are at 38 and wearing slightly more in the middle.

if you want even wear, 35 sounds about right.

    for a kxr anyway.

  3. I dont drive it like a sports car, always have them on 40psi, the dealer told me to check the alignment, its only 2.5mths old, come on, i shouldnt have to align it every 2 mths??

I better complaint, im good at it...

No, they like to check wheel alignment on the first service to make sure things are all good.

I don't think it's a high priority from the factory.

  4. I just had a look at mine and it does wear more than the inside and more then the rear.

I better rotate it. May be it is time to wheel align it a little. I must complain to the Toyota next time servicing, which is next month. I am on 19000km.

EDIT: And I am on 38 psi all the time. It goes down to 35 every time I check it. So it is higher than recommended pressure anyway.

Wheel alignment won't be covered under the 150 deal. Unless you complain well.

  5. The Kluger's going to be my every day vehicle, so if you guys had to drive yours full time the rattles you have are only minor and wouldn't bother you that much?

Sorry I am sound really picky I know....it's also due to the Holden Dealers as they never fixed my Commodore and just said nah all VE's are like that, so I'm pretty jaded. I guess I'm just trying to make sure that if the Kluger has any rattles or issues in general the after sales service is good as well from Toyota....because the General's crap!

cheers Ric. its up for its 30K service so I'll log it with them. its the wifes car, so I only notice it when i infrequently drive it.

Exactly like my car with half the Kms sound coming from the middle right section of the dash but I don't drive it that much like you

no offence, but aside from the bloke here with the oil leak, the customer service from Toyota (the few times you need it) they are night and day in comparison.

I'm sure there are good and bad dealers but I think on the whole the customer satisfaction from Toyota ownership is brilliant.

Other car makers call Toyota bland (Ford Forumers in particular seem to delight in this), but I think this is a backhanded compliment because you don't have to think about them.

I love buying Australian, but when it comes to cars, nobody puts them together like the Japanese!

  6. Dealer said to put 1 premium tank in every 4 fills purely as a cleaning agent.

We have pretty much followed this advice and to be perfectly honest have noticed ZERO difference in fuel economy. Thats using E10, normal unleaded and Premiums from all suppliers.

No need paying for fuel that makes no difference. Whatever small margins you MAY increase economy and power by using higher rated octane DO NOT justify the LARGE increase in cost.

  7. 40 on road with mats and rubber boot mat.

KX-R. Didn't see the point dropping an extra 15G for Sat Nav and leather. Power to those that have but for me, the base is well enough equipped for us.

    Is that a 5 or 7 seater?

    Cheers.

only 5 seater. we are a family of five 2 adults 2dogs and 1 cat.

  8. Not too much to complain about getting up to 20,000k service, except that the SRS Airbags in the A Frame squeek on both sides. It's usually when hitting small road bumps that it happens then it quietens down. Not a huge concern as the old mans new Cruiser does the exact same thing. Its just that the insides of modern cars are so quiet that any noise is noticeable.

Also, as good as the transmission is, I find that it changes down unecessarily at low speeds. For example, going over speed bumps in the 10/20kmh range, it will change back and engine brake even though I am accelerating. Surely the Kluger is not that low on torque.

  10. Nice sales vid

Do we have 11 air bags?

We dont have 10 drink holders only 8

We do have 10 holders. Count the one on the sides too. 3 on each side and 4 in the front. If you count the centre 2nd row, you have 12!

We prob do not have the knee air bag and I think they count the curtain airbag as 3...

Yep. We have the knee airbag. At least my KX-R does, so I'm guessing your grande does :whistling:
