  1. Update.... for anyone who may experience this problem. Turns out the right side rear outer door handle was broken with loose internal connections while the child safety was engaged causing the central locking to pulsate, I replaced the door handle and secured all the operating steel rods and the alarm went off and the car started.
  2. First post, please be gentle... Having an issue with the immobiliser on a Camry SVX10 May97 (gen 3.5 I think) The car was left unattended for a couple of months and now has a flat or dead battery, when we try to jump start the car the alarm is engaged and the engine will not turn over, we haven’t had the immobiliser for a couple of years and only have the spare key that we have been using for the same period. We connected the jumper leads to the battery and disconnected the horns/siren and tried the 30 minute wait with the key in the ignition ‘on’ position while the alarm was still activated and the light flashing in the instrument panel and still no engine turn over. The right side rear door has been playing up and the central locking keeps pulsating, wonder if this may be causing an issue with the 30minute reset procedure. Any input is greatly appreciated.
