Hello everyone, recently we saw the light and moved back to Toyota and procured a 6 month old 2021 Hilux SR5. This year we will be setting it up for towing and touring and one of our issues is to improve the seats. Both of us have backbones that have been a little abused in an earlier life and we did fit Recaro Ergomed seats to our previous (side airbags included) 4WD BT50 and have removed them to fit into the New Hilux. However ARB and Recaro Distributors (Idealseat Company) say they dont fit them to new Hilux due to 'complex wiring'. We were hoping that others have overcome this hurdle in Australia with the latest Hilux. I did contact Recaro in the Philippines and they do fit them to new Hiluxes and their Hiluxes also have the new Safety Sense gizmos.
Does anyone know of good mechanics or auto electricians that would have a go. OR know any other brand of seats that have been fitted to this vehicle?
