  1. Right; Here's an update on the situation After posting this thread, the problem pretty much fixed itself, HOWEVER, it's started happening again on occasion but i've noticed now; 1. It tends to happen when the engine is hot and/or 2. if I roll the car 20-40M, it kicks over, instead of making the whurring sound.. Its almost like the motor is not connecting with the gearbox. it turns on whurrs every time without fail
  2. Nah, there is no little hole or plug that the screw goes in, it goes straight down into where the wires were, so i drilled tiny holes in and put little clips to hold the wires on either side of where the screw goes. But do i need to go pulling **** apart to look for crap like this? It turns out that one of the wires was damaged already, so i had to cut it, and solder a new section in.
  3. I had to get the plastic thing off under my steering wheel and i noticed something when i took the guard off on the door. I have no idea if its stock standard (jesus i hope not) but i noticed that one of the screws that holds the guard down on the door (At the feet), which is attached to the kick panel, to get at the last screw..has a screw that goes straight through a bunch of wires!!1 Is that normal and won't that f*** my cabling up eventually?
  4. thanks mate. Been here a little looking for a bit of help on the mods...but yeah... 2nd car too man :/ Not easy to afford for a 19 y/o livin on his own
  5. got a bit of work to do on the interior including a sound system but i'll get there.
  6. In looking around for where to get me a repair manual for my celica, I found this. 'Njoy. http://www.celicatech.com/imagearchive/bgbonline/bgb.php
  7. Ok, so the part i've worked out thus far is the Simota. http://www.simota.com.au/HTML/Airfilterkits_b.htm SIM-CA10 Honda Accord 90-93 As for ozCelica. I registered but for some reason, the admins have been slack with my account (i'm not banned, i registered and it said i need administrator approval to post) and i can't actually read the workshop section (or post).
  8. Oh thats bloody perfect haiison. Will that be the same/similar to doing it on a gen5 or will i have to do something dramatic?
  9. Aight, so its time to get rid of that bloody stock intake; with all the mods the prev. owner had on this thing, you'd have thought he'd done an intake... :( Anyway, so what are my options; whats going to be high maintenance and whats going to give me a good power gain? Edit: and simplicity of install -_-
  10. Thanks mate :) I don't live nth shore but damn, I'll drive that far to get my hands on somebody i can trust.

Grats man. Thats a pretty cheap 3s-ge too :/ I'm still driving my first car to be honest too.
  12. are starter motors generic? IE can i go to pick'n'payless and take one off any ol toyota and use that?
  13. Thanks :) Also; is there repair manuals out there for this sort of s***? ie 1990 5s-fe 184st's? I had one for my bombodore and it worked a treat for minor things like this.
  14. He was also telling me that apparently you can get 'exchange' starter motors; reconditioned starter motors, and they take yours. Happen to know where i can get this in sydney?
  15. 5spd manual. I rang me old man and he suggested the same thing. Do you happen to have a diagram as to exactly what it looks like? I'm pretty sure i know, but I'd rather not guess.
