finally got da letter took them 5 wks it says on da letter, asking if i accept the penalty n if so da suspension would start in january do i just send bak da letter n da suspension would start in jan? how about the actual licence, do i have to hand it in to rta or can i keep it for id?

takes them a month just to proces the payments... any chance that I would receive the letter sooner? jesusss hey rollaboy, did u get ur licence suspended 3times? did u wait for a month everytime just for the letter to arrive...?

well...2weeks ago I got caught speeding, was doing 80 in a 50 zone it was an on-spot-fine, the cop gave me two tickets, one for speeding one for not bring licnece and I paid them both on last thursday, it's been a week now, still havnt got any letter from the RTA... I was told that, by law the rta has to notify me 28days before the suspension period starts.. ummm....didnt know about this..means that afta i receive the letter, i havta wait 28days for the commencement of suspension period damnnnnnn i was guna go overseas next month...was thinkin tht i could get some holidays when I got my licence suspended.. does any1 know, approximately how long it takes the rta to send me the letter? heard that once the payments have been made, the infringement department has to process and pass it to the RTA...and the RTA will decide wat2 do and from wat i heard...the RTA would send me the letter within 21days when the payments have been made.. then, do i havta wait for 21days+28days til i actually get my licence suspended!?!?! jesuss...

got no money still looking for partime job.. i think i gotta wait for the 42days... after the 21days i'd receive a reminder which would give me another 21days.. thts 42days in total to clear the $3xx fines

mickey tee, i think i aint verified as the driver yet becoz i didnt bring my licence with me wen i was caught the cop asked me for any particular reason for speeding, i said i was in a rush to school then he asked me for my details (dob address name) wen he confirmed it and took a photo of me then he let me go i think a letter will go round my letter box asking me to verify tht i was actually the 'driver' tht got booked would they call me up or knock my door? its alrite if they only send me letter to verify coz i dun want my family to find out yet... thanks every1

i think he charged me with this: "More than 15 km/h but not more than 30 km/h" on the ticket it says, more than 15kmh and it's $238 if it was the next range "mor dan 30 less than 45" it'd be 609$ which i nearly got myself into tht... if i did 1kmh more... i was doing 80...fortunately/unfortunately

yeh...it says tht i could pay at the post office but i thought they'd havta verify if i was the driver who got pulled this morning... im preti sure the rta would send me a letter to confirm that... not sure whether it'd come after or before the fines have been paid

ahh.. just checked the rta website http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/rulesregulations...s/speeding.html luckily im in the 'more than 15kmh less than 30kmh' range... if i did 81kmh i gotta pay $609...thts........ i think i'll get my licence suspending...might be more than 3months..

***.... 6months.... i was rushing to school... on the speeding ticket, it says "over 15km/h" does it mean the officer took it easy on me? he showed me the lidar...it says 80km/h should I pay for the fine? coz i thought the rta would send a letter to me asking if i were the driver.. or else, how do they verify if i was telling the truth? or will they take action to the booked vehicle (he marked down the rego num) should i pay now.. or wait for rta letter..
