  2. Remove maf sensor and spray with electrical contact cleaner (do not use non flammable one in eats certain plastics) you can buy maf sensor cleaner although this does exactly the same job half the price and still reside free….failing that if you require new sensor I use auto parts online or rolan 👍
  3. I have old model hilux 98 with ifs I believe late 97 they came out in aus
  4. I’ve had a similar issue with a mates hilux ..fault was the wiring loom from alternator close to engine block that had worn through harness due to vibration etc …wire in loom was either contacting ground or broken ….not much to go on my memory isn’t the best but worth a look …follow the loom and inspect 👍
  5. May I ask why would you need 2 ?
  6. To all out there with hilux/fortuner/prado 2.8 diesel auto..I have noticed an issue with my hilux that Toyota Australia won’t admit..vehicle will not shift into 6th gear under normal operating conditions (flat road /unladen/not towing/factory tyres/and no accessories as yet..the only way for it to shift into 6th gear is by taking foot off accelerator for approximately 2-3 sec or setting the cruise control..does anyone have this same issue? If you sit at 110kph and doing roughly 2000rpm your in 5th 6th gear at 110kph is around the 1700rpm mark. I would suspect most owners do not realise this Are forums dead or does no one care that there using excess fuel and wear and tear on engine components for no reason? if you are in the same boat as me with a 150kw /500nm engine that can’t manage to engage 6th gear under normal conditions then I would be making noise !!! We need to fight all the corporate bs!!
