Toyota Noob

Engine, brake warning, traction and abs light on. Went to mechanic who said there were 10 or so error codes but couldnt pin point. Light disappeared. Now its back after weeks. Same lights. Possibilities? Traction wont operate when break is depressed firmly. I did also feel slight stiffness in the steering wheel when i started up my car for a few seconds before it released.. halp
